Korean Cuisine is our All Time Favorite 😍 We love every items of their banchan, especially the creamy mashed potato & cucumber pickles (korean achar as my daughter calls it 😅) 😘 Rabokgi ($13) where you could have both the spicy rice cake and ramen at the same time 😋 Boneless Short Rib ($27) bbqed in the kitchen & served at your table. Soft & juicy but too bland though 😏 Jjajang Myeon ($12) Black noodle always a comfort stable 😙 Beef Army Stew ($38) Pleasing to the eyes & satisfying to the palate 😋 Banana Makkoli (was $20 now $15) added that extra kick to our yummy meal 😘 #burpple

Korean Fried Chicken Korean fried chicken, that is really quite similar to chicken popcorn bites. The star instead, is the bubbling army stew in the background. Surprisingly, the squidball inside has none of that starchy blandness of typical factory-made squid/meatballs. It's flavourful and springy (made in-house?). Couple that with ramen noodles, melty rice cake slices, a gochujang-kimchi soup base that gets more intensely flavoured/saltier(:P) the more you stew it - the spoons just kept going. 💫 Definitely one of the better, if not, the best army stew soup I have had

Matcha Tiramisu We are back at L'Atelier Tiramisu again for their awesome tiramisu desserts! This time, we decided to try out the matcha tiramisu as it sounded like a really novel combination. This dessert has no coffee inside it and it is covered with a generous serving of matcha powder which gives the top a slightly bitter flavour. The cream used in the dessert contains mascarpone cheese. We also felt that this tiramisu is laced with a slightly different alcohol that gives it a slightly fruity flavour but we can't pin down what it is 😅 Without the coffee and with a fruity note, this version feels lighter and a lot more refreshing! For $7.90, it is pretty much a steal given how interesting (and yummy) this combination is!

Lychee Tiramisu ($7.90) Can't get enough of their tiramisu! The lychee flavour is light, sweet and fruity and has quite a bit of alcohol (martini/rum?) which complements the taste super well!

Catching up with an old friend over sandwiches and pork. Yes my friends, the Pork Sandwich ($14) is bloody good (with an English accent). Served from 11:00am onwards on weekends and public holidays, the sandwich comes filled with ROASTED PORK with CRACKLING, orange marinated red cabbage with parsley, red apple and mustard mayonnaise. This is one sandwich I would definitely wake up for during the weekends. . GÆST Address: 21, Mccallum Street, The Clift, Unit 01-01, Singapore 069047

#tb to a lazy noon Lurpak-ing at #Gaest. Their homemade sourdough is the bombz. Soft & moist with a delicate yeasty sourness. One for dunking into the tomato & feta soup and the other simply with butter 👌 #burpple

Pasta, Iberico pork, cauliflower The portion was on the smaller side but food tasted not bad! Not a lot of mains options.

Iberico Secreto ($26+ U.P.), Barramundi ($26+ U.P.), Roasted Cauliflower ($15+), Pita & Hummus ($12+, Not Pictured) Moosehead has been on my wish list to check out with girlfriends for a long time, a Saturday evening in 2022 was finally the right time. While our mains of barramundi and iberico secreto came in “dainty” portions fit for ladies, they were well handled and packed coordinating flavours with their condiments. Our sides of cauliflower and pita with hummus then kept us satiated. This is a place I’d return to for a causal alfresco sort of dining ambience with good food.

My first ever rainbow cheesecake. Of cuz it makes for a great Instagram photo. But the big question here is how does it measure up taste wise? Well here at the old school tiankee They add yoghurt to their cheesecake giving it a slightly gelatinous(jelly-like) texture. The yoghurt also gives it a lighter and slightly more sour profile which I simply love. 2 paws up for this beauty! #hungryhungrymonster #tiankeeandco #burpple

Iced Latte ($6++) I’m not very sure why but this iced latte was surprisingly very good! It could have been the post morning spin-class, short of sleep vibes that I was dealing with… 30% off with Burpple and further discount if you bring your own cup.

Archipelago Cold Brew To me, the perfect cold brew should have a deep, intense flavor, full-bodied, smooth and strong. This cup ($4.20, which is remarkably low for a cold brew) ticked none of those boxes at all. I couldn't taste any flavor notes at all, it was overly bitter and it tasted really badly diluted/watery to me. I believe it was underextracted (a cold brew should have at least 16 hours of steeping). I was quite disappointed by this cup, an iced Americano might have tasted better. There's an option to add milk into it if that's your thing. Their pastries (especially their chocolate cake) looked quite appetizing though. 3/10

Latte Gula ($4.80) | Green Tea Matcha ($5-6) Loved both! Latte Gula had a sweet ending with every sip. It was something very special that i’ve never tried before. Matcha one tasted amazing too, with a very strong matcha flavor. Would definitely be back to try them again!! 💖 📍 Opposite OCBC centre A quaint cafe with small seats but cozy.

Vintage High Tea Buffet Instead of spending over $50/pax for a high tea set, how about a $30++/pax high tea buffet? Although it may not be as delicious as before, the price stays the same over the years. Sad to know that they will be closing down at the end of the year. Do visit them before they close down for good:(

Truffle N The Kong Bak House @ Dempsey... nice place to hangout n take wefies... with the vintage decos... of course the foods are also nice and serve simple and strong fragrant truffle fries. The Kong Bak Bau is great too with the thick pork slices and the just nice serving white bau! Must go for weekend brunches or Lunners!

Spaghetti Aglio Olio The portion is great (at least for me), very garlicky, and while the menu claimed to be Aglio olio, personally I felt that it's more "vongole" style with the southern New Zealand clams. It's more wet, from the clams and definitely lack the olive oil, garlic combo. Not complaining, but definitely misleading. Presentation is the greatest, most likely it was a slow night, and the Chef is not feeling it that night.

What went down this evening whilst attending Singapore Startup Marketing Meetup. Trying to quit, but the branding is so addictive >.<! Every time people find out I run a coffee group and see me with a Starbucks in hand, I get that "you should know better" type of look. Haha. I do know better, but habits are hard to break. Especially bad ones that have lasted over 10 years. Comfort in familiarity and uncertain if I even know if it's love or hate =S #StarbucksSG #coffeeTime

A killer long-black. Very well-balanced #cuppa with a fruity tone and slight acidity. Bean-roast type - 40% Sumatran, 25% Costa Rican, 25% Ugandan, 10% Ethiopian. A very spacious cafe with power plugs everywhere(😍). There is no cash register here, I just placed my cash in a small bucket at the counter. This cafe is exactly 2 years old. Such a hidden gem!!

Magic + Cinnamon Roll Magic was a surprising find here; nutty flavour that was of medium intensity and was rather smooth and aromatic. Cinnamon Roll was flaky, buttery and lightly sweet.

Say Hi to Sweet Stuffs This is an easy waffle. A good waffle means a base soft AND crispy, topped with fresh fruits and finished with pour and extra pour of maple syrup. Sweet die me but it always put a smile on my face :DDD Slight improvement could be GIVE ME MORE FRUITS!!!
