The Tomyum only come in regular bowl. You can choose the type of noodle you want. It is so flavourful and is quite spicy and sour which is very appetising. Inside the noodle also have prawn and sotong. The spring roll and wanton is fried to perfection. The wanton is seriously addictive with the Thai Chili!

Pork ribs are by far one of my favorite BBQ cuts. I’ve had them all sorts of ways - Memphis style, sweet and sticky, smoked and of course with salted egg yolk. But I haven’t quite tasted any like this - topped with aromatic toasted desiccated coconut that’s been tossed with curry leaves. I ordered it because it looks so much like serunding (which I’m crazy about) and what a fluke! The coconutty “confetti” added a caramel overlay that was incredibly tasty. I was tempted to ask for another helping of said topping and sneak it home. Thank you Meatsmith for creating an Indian inspired menu at your latest Little India outpost.

According to me. ✌🏼 Something about the way it tastes just can't be replicated in any other food. Almost like a savoury dessert which secret can only be understood by other Singaporeans alike. 😋😋

A well-wrapped burrito has good portion of rice, beans and meat along it's entire length, and doesn't fall apart when you're eating it (unless it's a superrrr burrito). GYG had A+ quality food prep even in the busy lunch hour. Taste good too. Me gusta 😍

This new Japanese place along Tras Street has been open for more than a month, but not much about it can be found online, so thought I’d write something about it :)

Don & Tori’s menu consists mainly of donburi, maki, sashimi and yaki mono (grilled dishes). We ordered the Salmon Mentaiko Aburi Maki ($25, can’t go wrong), Grilled Japanese Eggplant with miso paste ($16, a bit oily), Chirashi Don ($25, good selection of fish but wish the portion was bigger) and the pictured Sakura Ebi Angel Hair Pasta ($32).

The pasta was springy and al-dente, and just at the right temperature (slightly cool). The sakura ebi, white truffle oil and caviar made the pasta very tasty.

All in all, a good place for Japanese food with lots of crowd-pleasers such as Truffle Gyu Don, Chirashi Don and flavourful Maki rolls. One suggestion would be to make the portions bigger to justify the prices.

Creamy Scrambled Eggs with foie gras, atop two slices of sourdough (frm the neighboring Woodlands sourdough). Texture of the scrambled egg was so rich and creamy which complimented the bread well.

HERE’S TO MY FAVOURITE BOWL OF DUMPLING NOODLES IN THE WHOLE OF SINGAPORE - think plump, juicy dumplings with a generous amount of minced meat, shrimps and chestnut cubes encased within, served atop a delectable bowl of springy noodles drenched in a delightfully savoury sauce 🤪 I grew up eating the noodles from this stall and apart from the rise in price over the years due to inflation, practically nothing has changed - the noodles, sauce and dumplings are always of consistent quality and it always leaves me craving for more! 😋💖

Authentic Tom Yam taste! The portion is big. I couldn’t finish the noodles. Really good to go on an empty stomach. However, if you can’t stand spicy food this is not for you. This Tom Yum is slightly spicy to me and I can handle my spicy food really well. Give it a try!

Taste: 4/5, nice and authentic however didn’t like the mushrooms inside.

Price: 5/5, $7.90 for the big portion hence it’s pretty worth it to me.

This unassuming quiet restaurant along beach road (took forever but I finally found the location tag!!) serves up a pretty mean plate of mapo tofu - I actually preferred it to shisen hanten's rendition because I felt that the favours were more subtle (the shisen hanten one is very in-your-face mala and your tongue is almost guaranteed to be numb). I guess it's up to personal preference!

An atas Kopitiam-looking place; or a localised bar, I would call it. Really chill vibes suitable for groups - to hang out with colleagues after work or hang out with friends to have a drink, and a wide range of food choices so you don't have to get stuck with bar bites.

The half baby chicken here caught me by surprise. It was well baked and seasoned to a perfect ratio. Fresh salad drizzled in mild vinaigrette coupled with mashed potatoes formed the sides. Perfect cos I didn't want to have rice or noodles for dinner.
