$26.80 | Served with salad, miso soup and watermelon! Sashimi were very fresh and super good! It might seems small on photo but it’s actually very filling!
Decided to try something different and wow this amazed me. They were generous in their portion and it was so good. The roes filled every spoon of my rice 8.0/10
$14.9++ for regular bowl. Nice truffle taste and love the egg, portion was alright also.
Utilised BB’s 1 for 1 deal. They’re really generous with their salmon. But other than that, it just taste like another bowl of don buri. totally worth it if you’re using the 1 for 1 deal on burpple :)
It is a quiet neighbourhood restaurant with not too much of a crowd inside.
Here, I ordered their 250g charcoal-grilled Ribeye [$33.90]. It was served with avocado butter, in-house gravy, mixed greens and truffle fries. The charcoal grill certainly gave the steak a notably smokier flavour. With the avocado butter and gravy, it produced good strong flavours which I really enjoyed.
However, the mixed greens were so-so and the truffle fries had just a hint of the truffle taste. Additionally, the service was not good. Half the time, there was no waiter in sight. Then when we finally caught their attention, there was a language barrier as both waiters were foreigners with thick accents. We noticed that we were not the only ones there having commmunication difficulties with the waitstaff.
Using my Burpple Beyond Account, I got the steak as a 1-for-1 offer, reducing the price to around $17. At this price, it is worth it but I cannot say the small portion size is justified at $33.90. Perhaps the bulk of their customers all come using promotions like this, forcing the restaurant to adjust the portion size as such.
All in all, while the steak was good, the portion size and experience was not that amazing.
The portions of fish were generous but rice portion was average. Price not bad, even without the 1 for 1. Cheers!
My bf and I both ordered the beef brisket and beer using the 1 for 1 deal! Food was great, but I wouldn’t come if I have to pay full price. I will definitely come back again using the burpple deals!
Chicken curry was superb! Generous portion and chicken was super tender. Mee Pok Carbonara has a unique fusion taste- very interesting but would personally much prefer the chicken curry.
Both dishes were amazing and i loved the pairing of onsen eggs with avocado - surprisingly refreshing and was a just nice size for brunch. A really lovely place for brunch, not too crowded even on a sunday, pretty quiet, plenty of light and theres even card games
Got the spicy salmon don and added $2 to change it to shirataki noodles (a healthier low-carb option). I quite liked the texture of the shirataki noodles actually! There was a generous portion of salmon which tasted fresh too. Paid $18.90 for both dishes!
A recent addition to the food scene at Amoy Street is @mpiresingapore, a western-fusion dine & bar serving mouthwatering mains that complement their array of booze. You can take a tour in their very own private chiller room where they store their collection of wine in a well-controlled environment 🤩.

What stood out to me most was their entire chunk of beef cheek burgundy. Its fork-tender red wine-braised meat fell apart upon contact and was nicely seasoned. Paired with a pile of creamy mash and you will have that perfect main course that can satisfy anyone!

Thank you @dawnchansg for extending the invite and @mpiresingapore for having me 🙆♂️!

For a quick fix during lunchtime, find this spot housed in Singapore Shopping Centre for a fulfilling rice bowl meal. Fire up the Sets ($14) here, which come with a choice of main, miso soup and choice of drink (canned, black coffee, black tea). On mains, pick from the deliciously tender Beef Sh-nack Don, to the flavourful Prawn Lak-sta Pasta – each comes topped with a satisfyingly runny onsen egg.
