That’s what Chef Jason did here with this antipasti. These amazing crustaceans are not from Italy but Vietnam. When he explained to us,it made perfect sense given the logistics and flavour and honestly, if he didn’t share this nugget of information with us, we can’t tell the difference. Served with saffron aioli and some bread, it just hits the spot. Bellissimo!

, asks Veronica. One pasta each. Sure, was my reply. Somehow a pasta each turned out to be a wonderful Italian version of letting the chefs serve us, yes, Omakase style. So we started with these lovely toasted focaccia topped with tomato tapenade and straciatella. So good!!

At SGD 25 this may seem steep but they do it so well here. This place is perpetually packed with Japanese so be prepared to wait if you didn’t make a reservation.

The Aloo Gobi is superb with just enough spice and balance. The Chicken 65 was too mushy for me, I had expected it to have a little more crunch.

Corny joke, I admit it. On a more serious note, this place sure serves up some mean veg curries. So good! I love the bindi masala and the baigen (eggplant) masala.

Saw this on the menu and couldn’t resist. Deep fried paddy chicken with ginger chips. So yummy. The little princess said that this is the best chicken she’s had although she knows it’s actually not chicken.

This requires pre ordering and serves 10. Really fragrant and I love the crunch of the crispy ebi. Many thanks to @anitaeats and @faysbook.my for recommending this. It was so yummy that I had two bowls of rice!

Does this qualify as ugly delicious? Well if certainly qualifies as super delicious. First time at Kingdom Palace and we are pretty impressed with the dishes we had ordered. I like how their Hakka yong tau foo tasted like it was made by a Hakka grandma.
