Might be a tad too spicy for some (definitely was for us!). We probably should have asked for it to be less spicy. Was quite good in spite of the spiciness though! Highly recommend this place for good quality Thai food at affordable prices.
We ordered the tom yum soup with chicken and whew was it spicy. But in a great way! The taste and portion is value for money 👍 10/10 place would recommend and would revisit - even without burpple beyond. Think it's a good place for gatherings too - order a few dishes to share!
I don't even recall the name of the breakfast set. Its that generic. Nothing was outstanding. Again, would not revisit.
Ordered a Marriott Burger (~$28 if I recall correctly) since it was a recommended dish. Honest thoughts? Not worth it. I'd rather pay the same price for a burger from Fat Boys. Did not have a pleasant experience dining there either. Would not revisit, even with Beyond 1 for 1.
$22 got us two classic burgers with a side of truffle fries and two cans of Coke with Burpple Beyond 1 for 1. They were a little too generous with the special sauce in the burger such that the taste of the impossible meat was masked by the sauce. But the sauce was tasty so am fine with that! The buns were soft and nicely caramelized, quite liked it!
Do note that their current location is at the open space next to Starbucks outside Coronation Plaza. Thankfully it was windy when we ate there 👍
Loved the garlic sizzling rice ($25)! It's flavourful and the fish roe added a nice crunch to it. Garlic isnt overpowering either. They were very generous with the mushrooms in the risotto ($25), and the chicken is tender and juicy as well. Would recommend these two dishes. They only serve bottled water, so we got a Yuja ade ($7) to go with our meal. The soda is refillable though.
Used burpple beyond 1-1, but unsure if I'd pay full price to dine here.
Dropped by for a respite from the heat on a PH afternoon. We got the blueberry scones ($6 for two) and Seasonal Iced Tea ($6.50). The scones came with butter and blueberry jam and was warmed up. Butter was at room temperature so was easy to spread - a much appreciated detail! Scones were quite affordable, but probably not the best in the area. The iced tea wasn't really worth $6.50 imo. It was not bad, refreshing. But for that price, it could definitely have been a bigger glass.
Used Burpple Beyond to get 1-1 on this as well as Garlicky Chicken ($28.90) to share among 3 pax. The sauce is rather spicy so do take note when ordering! They dont have an option of having it less spicy. The dish came with rice, fries and sweet potatoes. The carbs definitely helped with the spiciness from the gravy. The rice was really good! Tasted like the rice from their sister restaurant Masizzim 👍
The whole meal was really filling and value for money with Burpple Beyond. Would revisit!
Used Burpple Beyond to get 1-1 on this as well as Spicy Chi-bap ($32.90). Garlicky chicken was rly good! The chicken was tender and the seasoning on point 👌 portion was big and good for sharing. We had the two dishes for three people and we were stuffed.
Generous serving of seafood and they are all fresh and nice. Tomato sauce can be thicker though.
Worth a try!
New item on the menu! Fish is nicely done and well seasoned. Portion of fries is a little small though.
Gave Wanton Fu a try as it was on Burpple Beyond. Noodles were very springy, had a good QQ texture. The small portion of wanton noodles came with three boiled wantons, and vegetables. Noodles were good with the chilli! But use sparingly as it's very spicy.
Fried wantons were nothing to shout about though. Unfortunately our experience was marred by how they got our order wrong and subsequently forgot our order entirely. Was quite a disappointing experience, especially as we noticed that there was a neighbouring table of bloggers - the standard of service that differed was rather appalling to be honest.
But food's good. Worth a try... Hope they remember your order 😉
