Honey butter latte The signature honey butter latte ($5.50) is equally delectable. Ask for less sweet - otherwise the sweetness tends to be a bit too overpowering. The espresso at Mad Roaster is noticeably well balanced with light hints of acidity and bitterness that can still be appreciated despite the honey butter flavoring. The honey butter flavour itself is delicious - very toasty and buttery. Reminds me of butter pecan. 5/5.

Great teh o Slightly more expensive than other coffee stalls at $2.60 for teh o bing. But I feel it’s worth the additional expense. The teh o is fragrant with very slight acidity (doesn’t have the “siap” taste that is associated certain teh os). There is a hint of floral notes reminiscent of jasmine tea. Very pleasant even as a teh o kosong

Good Kopi-o made with an espresso machine $1.9 And appreciate that the cup is more secure than the usual ones. But do feel that coffee places that don’t offer the option of ceramic cups for dine-in are missing something. Noticed most customers were ordering the ang moh coffee options so shall have to try that next time

Strawberry Tart Equal parts tart, sweet, and buttery Strawberries and blueberries could be sweeter, but as a whole this was a damn good finale to a birthday celebration.

Iced Mint Mocha Iced Mint Mocha at Tolido's Espresso Nook is a refreshing masterpiece! The perfect balance of rich espresso, velvety milk, and invigorating mint flavours creates a delightful summer treat. Visually stunning, with mint leaves and chocolate powder, making it Instagram-worthy.

Pumpkin spice latte Seriously can't taste any pumpkin spice at all. There's a little bit of nutmeg on top. They took our feedback and made us another cup. Very nice but honestly both taste exactly the same lol no pumpkin spice

Brownie Blackout brownies are all good, this one is abit too sticky-dense and outside isn't the most crispy, so not top tier. But still enjoyable

· 🥪 Back To Cafe Habitat 。... ~ · Truffle Scrambled & Salmon - $20 · First visit to Habitat after their relocation. The bigger floor space and minimalist design is definitely welcomed. Love the healthy salmon toast, which comes with grilled salmon fillet stacked under truffle infused scrambled egg and sourdough toast. Dessert wise, their Dark Molten ($12) lava cake is simple yet lovely. Home baked dark chocolate lava cake that’s not too sweet, and paired with yummy vanilla ice cream. Poutine Fries ($12) Finally visited Habitat Coffee's latest location after it moved out of the neighbourhood along Upper Thomson Road. The new interior at Lavender with its curved rims & high ceiling brought about a different look to the venue. On the menu, they had expanded it quite a fair bit, catering to the all-day dining folks & those popping by just got tea & snacks. We decided to order their Poutine Fries as I was feeling a lil' peckish & it's something that most places would not offer. The generous portion of brown sauce is ladled over crispy shoestring fries and topped with grated parmesan. While it was slightly salty (really slight), having a couple of plain fries without the gravy does help to balance out the saltiness a little. On the side, wash it down with your coffee of choice, or with the variety of sweets!

Pasta rebus and regular options Pasta rebus is 5.70+ (pleasant, though tweaked) on national day for the first 57 orders. I was the 17th order at 1.30 pm so there should be ample for you if the other cafe queue is unbearable. Almond croissant (4.7+) was good but I haven't had many others. Chicken burger is fine, eggs royale and latte (very foamy!) slightly better, asparagus mushroom pasta unspectacular. Only four tables inside, but there's fans al fresco. Would come back for weekday sets. Only gst charged, consider tipping.

The Queen Eggs Benedict Instagramable food. Looks good. Egg was runny. But don't expect to be filling.

Crown Breakfast This highly recommended platter, most of the reviews here recommend having this platter. This platter also consist of its famous oxtail stew, which I felt was quite ok. Quite a hearty breakfast.

Bulgogi Pork Bowl I'm usually apprehensive about such bowls but this was really good. Tasty and tender meat, lovely egg and generous.

did not disappoint! quality is pretty good, considering its located in a ‘kopitiam’. easily comparable to many shopping mall japanese/korean restaurants that charge way more expensive. japanese short grain rice was pearly and has a nice bite. they were very generous with the sauce, which can be a bit too sweet for some people. bulgogi pork meat was delicious. onsen egg added a nice touch to the overall dish!

Hazelnut Chocolate Drip Cake ($45) Found this gem in the heartlands with affordable and well-executed pastries. The hazelnut chocolate cake came with a decadent chocolate ganache and topped with kinder bueno bits (which I couldn't resist reaching for a piece). Couldn't find fault with the hazelnut cake but as an avid dark chocolate lover, I'd wished for a cake with stronger chocolate profile and less sugar. Hope that they introduce a dark chocolate cake to satisfy my indulgence!

𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘁 ($𝟲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟭𝟯; $𝟭𝟮 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟰) Got these sweet treats to celebrate my loved one's birthday. You can choose up to 3 flavours from the 4 available ones. The flavours are lemon meringue, s'mores, sea salt nutella and fruit tartlets. Didn't get to try all the flavours but the nutella one was not bad! Lightly torched, the meringue peak complemented the firm tart shell. The components were well-balanced, though I'd personally prefer a reduced sugar version. As for the fruit tartlet, it comes with generous custard filling and is best to be consumed within the same day for freshness. (pictured here are the s'mores, nutella and fruit flavours. there's a pic of the meringue one in my previous post) Overall, this was a good addition for our birthday celebrations. Also available in gift box option with flowers and cards to go along~

I've been trying the cakes at Baker V for a while and it's hard to try another place that is as generous as them. The 6" cakes here easily dwarf those of the same purported size at other bakeries and is definitely value-for-money! Good quality pastries at heartland prices

Limited Time $15 Set Meal We got the ongoing promo (Sep'21) which was good. First time trying their Vietnamese Black Glutinous Rice Dessert. Decent dessert, not too sweet! Good sweet mangos.

Nice set meal with squishy rice Pork was very tasty, needed more sauce. Maybe choose the curry rice over the Hamburg dish. Orh nee cake and drinks were yummy.

Pork Cutlet Curry Rice Specially for travelling down frm North East to Jurong for trying their popular curry rice. ($6.90) I felt that their curry spice is mid tbh but pork cutlet slightly overcooked hence I felt that it's quite hard to chew and the outer filling was really crispy and crunchy. photo credits: huiyi ✌
