Closing after 6th September After 13 years at kovan, ice Edge cafe will be closing its door after Sept 6 2022. Have been here a couple of times and really like the internal decor. Ice Edge cafe started out as a gelato shop and expanded to western mains thereafter. Thus having the gelato here will definitely won't go wrong. One of my favourite on the dessert menu is the chocolate lava cake with a choice of gelato.

Been wanting to try this as we have seen some good reviews and the price is very reasonable. A little disappointed with the quality of food but it could be cuz of pricing or cuz it was delivered. The pizza seafood mentaiko had a fishy taste and smell to it so the ingredients might not be super fresh, which is not great for seafood. The mentaiko was also not evenly spread so there's slices that got almost no mentaiko taste at all and other slices that's a little bit too much. The pizza wild mushroom also had its ingredients unevenly spread as there was a slice that was super heavy on the cameralised ingredients. The taste of the pizza was a bit milder in general so it helps to balance the heaviness for the other stuff. The sides might be better eaten at the shop itself when served fresh and hot. The buffalo wings were unfortunately not spicy at all. Nothing much to comment abt the fries, but would like to try it in-store one day to see if it'll be any better. Unlikely to otder from here again but might try in-store one day.

Duck confit Cooked to perfection. Tender, tasty, and good ambience. Had one for one aperol spiritz!

duck leg confit prices considered affordable for french food. but taste not there not impressed with the escargots. even Saizeriya ones are better. desserts very so-so.

Expect timeless dishes such as the Confit de Canard ($30) which is essentially Saveur’s signature duck leg confit with mashed potato, water cress, orange, and red wine sauce. You can even top up $6 if you want some Truffle Mash Potato on the side!

Cempedak Creme Brulee 🤤 $7 for this and oh boy it was so good! Thought it would be a hot dessert but it was cold. Not complaining at all cuz it was really good and sweet. Had the real cempedak fruit inside as well and it was big too! So worth it yum yum. However best to share with someone as it can get jelak

Must Try Halal Food In The Area Had the Laksa Pasta with choice of Penne. So good and must order. Creamy laksa base which goes well with the Penne and generous amount of different seafood given. Worth it and will return to get it! Ordered the Truffle Shoestring Fries as well which was very fragrant and addictive. Do get it!!

Truffle Mushroom Pizza Service was great, but the food is slightly on a pricier side. This thin crust pizza is suitable for 1 person or as a side for sharing. Expect a pungent truffle smell as it is drizzled with the oil but not too overpowering when consumed. Overall, it is well cooked as egg is runny. Good experience.

Wine Connection Tapas Bar & Bistro Back to my favourite place for steak fixed 😌 Always love the atmosphere, food are good and affordable 😍 Here is what we ordered: 🥗𝐓𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐓𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐝 ($𝟏𝟗) 👉 Seared Tuna, Mesclun salad, feta cheese, lemon dressing served with spicy Mayo sauce. First time ordering this and is definitely a good appetizer as the taste is spicy and sour. I love the tuna slice and it’s huge too 😍 🍕 𝐇𝐚𝐦 & 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 ($𝟏𝟖) My all time favourite, the crust is crispy and thin which I love it! Unusual paella... The paella is on the fishy end, and it is unusual that they have such chunky pieces of chickens. This didnt meet my expectations for the usual paella, although the squid and prawns are tender and fresh. The wines definitely made up for it.

7 cheese platter ($59) . Never thought that Ah Pek would like this kind of fancy stuff but Ah Pek did enjoy this pretentious session of good cheese and some wine. There remains more to be learnt about cheese and wine pairings but for starters, maybe get some recommendations from the server 😂

Matcha Lava Waffles ($9) Topped with a scoop of Apricot Honey Yoghurt ice-cream . Overall, the Apricot Honey Yoghurt flavour was creamy and matched perfectly with the earthy bitterness of the matcha ganache

Here is their final 🆕️ flavour - Pink Hojicha Cookie! Featuring a pink vanilla cookie 💗 with a fragrant roasted green tea lava 🤎, I really enjoyed the earthy flavours of the hojicha lava! Only priced at $11.90! . The cookie comes with a scoop of ice cream 🍦 so I topped mine up with a scoop of "Be My Valentine", a premium flavour made with white chocolate 🤍🍫, macadamia, strawberry 🍓 & white rum. Certainly a delight with nutty crunch of the macadamia 🌰.

Milo Dinosaur ($4) A mix of milo, ovaltine and butter . The consistency of the ice-cream is really thick, which indicates a good ice-cream . I got a rich intense malty flavour; probably the combination of milo + ovaltine .

Delish Molten Cookie With Ice Cream Tried the special Halloween set that comes with the “scary” eye drink (basically lychee with blueberry stuffed inside) - abit too sweet for my liking. The molten cookie with ice cream never fails but I wouldn’t consider the extra whip cream/ rip biscuit or charcoal cone that tasty...

Rose Latte Iced $7 Value for money for $7. Rose flavored latte. Right taste, right quantity. Decor and ambience of this place is just wow. Little hard to find near tanglin, but totally worth the visit. 5 stars

Avocado Toast with egg $13 Brilliant is the word. Ample avocado, enough egg. Perfect for a grand breakfast. Complete value for money Beautiful decor and amazing staff. 5 stars

Chendol Went for the chendol soft serve with just chocolate drizzle (skipped the pandan jelly and coconut). Creamy and gula melaka heavy but got too sweet halfway through. The usual toppings would’ve helped balance things out and add texture. Portion’s big too and definitely a share-with-a-friend kind of dessert 》$7

Peach yoghurt cheesecake S$ 9 Very refreshing peach flavor topped with popping boba and few slices of peach. Love the peach smell.

Turkish Delight S$ 9 Super chocolatey soft serve, pistachio custard give nutty flavor. The Turkish delight is a bit too hard.

Shiok maki 😍 Finally had my craving satisfied!! Went on a Friday night and the queue was so long that we decided to queue for sushiro but ended up waiting almost an hour which was even longer :-( decided to go for late lunch on Sat and waited for about 15 mins. Loooove the shiok maki $18.80+ for the eel one. It’s sinful but really so so good. Decided to be adventurous and try the pidan maki $16.80+ but didn’t really like it. Another must order which I forgot to take pic is the salmon fish head soup (sake atama soup $10+). The portion is so big and the warm soup just makes the meal more hearty. Spent about $27 per pax as we ordered agedashi tofu $5+ as well which could have been skipped given that there was tofu and vege in the soup. A must visit, no service charge!

Sukiyaki Pretty decent. The soup is not too salty.

Yaki udon Smoky and smooth fried udon with the vegetables providing that bite!

Negima & Asparagus Maki They seem to be known for their kushiyaki. Indeed, these were a notch above others. The vegetables were juicy while the meats were flavourful.

Bonjiri They seem to be known for their kushiyaki. I love parson's nose and theirs were meaty, crispy and smoky.

Kurobuta Flat Udon I had no idea "flat udon" has gone viral. I tried it but I've never liked wide noodles so I didn't quite like this. It reminds me of kway chap too. But the pork was awesome, as it was grilled on their trademark griller and so smoky. Delicious soup too.
