Ordered beef short ribs (35.9++) and king prawn and scallop pasta (33.9++)

Beef short ribs came with mashed potato, some vegetable and baguette~ I was initially afraid that the meat will be dry but it came out as tender and the tendons are quite chewy. Taste is flavourful as well! But the baguette was too hard. Would have preferred for it to be just lightly toasted.

For king prawn and scallop pasta, the prawns were either not fresh/over cooked as certain bites were mushy, definitely not the texture i would expect from king prawn... the aglio olio was too bland for me as well. Could taste the garlic taste below but would require a good mix. Added some black pepper to elevate the taste and it tasted much better.

Ordered Shiok maki gen 2 (with fried prawns inside the roll), yaki-udon and 1 enoki wrapped in bacon skewer

Their skewer is freshly grilled and it comes with a slight char that adds a layer to the taste. However, the price of the skewer may be slightly too steep.

I have eaten the yakiudon before and I felt like the taste of the yakiudon was better when i first tried it 1-2 years ago.

The shiok maki is delicious and basic - will definitely suit those who love mentaiko/saucy sushi.

Given the queue and the lack of ambience, i will probably not come back again...

Value-for-money: 4/5
Burpple savings: 4/5 (1-for-1)
Food quality: 4/5

I was quite surprised when I initially entered the restaurant... It was surprisingly well decorated and posh-looking.

Food wise, they are all well cooked and flavourful. Ordered the Butter chicken, Seeraga samba mutton briyani, Garlic naan and Kari Varuval for 3 pax. Recommend for 4 pax to go to use 2 burpple beyond deals

The butter chicken is extremely flavourful and I enjoyed dipping the naan in the butter chicken sauce.
The naan, however, can be more garlicky as I love the taste of garlic.
The Kari varuval, whilst described as crispy fried, came as abit saucy (like stir fried), but the mutton is tender and there isnt any gamey smell/taste that comes along.
The briyani was initially supposed to be the Seeraga samba rice but the waitress informed us that they only have basmati rice on weekdays. That being said, the rice is still very fragrant and comes with a decent number of mutton chunks.

With burpple 1-for-1, the cheapest dish was not included in the bill. Overall we only paid less than $60 in total. Will definitely come back again👍

Had Pepperoni, Sausage and Mushroom w Artichoke slices.

By far, sausage is my favourite as i love the capsicum taste that blends well w the pizza. Pepperoni, while basic, tastes similar to the Joe's pizza that we tried in NY. Mushroom w artichoke would be suitable for those who love mushroom as the mushroom flavour is very strong.

They also have a huge selection of interesting looking beer and we tried the Niang Brewery Pale Ale and Salted Plum Gose. The pale ale tasted like normal heineken, nothing special but the salted plum's taste was quite unique, definitely a must try when going there for the first time.

The place has quite limited seats, probably designed for quick meals so dont expect to chill there for long.

Went to lunch w friends and ordered a Beppu ramen - essentially ramen w assorted seafood such as prawn, crabstick, mussels + other ingredients such as bamboo shoots, corn, seaweed and half hanjuku egg (16.80++). We also ordered cuttlefish mayo (8.80++) and pork gyoza (5.80++) to share. I also ordered a lime juice (3.50++) that is refillable - a definite must order if you are going to challenge yourself to high spicy levels.

The ramen has customisable spicy level that ranges from 1 to 8. As a 小辣 eater, i only dared to opt for level 1 and I still felt like its quite spicy but the spiciness gels well with the soup. Overall a decent ramen and would rate it a 3.5/5

Im always a huge fan of mayo and the cuttlefish mayo is to die for. Instead of just providing mayo at the side, they drizzled the cuttlefish with mayo and torched it slightly, giving it a smoky touch.

Gyoza, on the hand, was normal, not fantastically good or bad~

Overall i might come back again and will try to order different sides/non-ramen dishes to try out since they offer many different selections!

Ordered egg omelette, oyster, thai boat noodle (beef), tom yum soup, cashew nut chicken (not in pic), salted egg sotong (not in pic) and fried pork lard (not in pic)

Egg omelette is fluffy and doesnt have very oily taste (some thai omelette elsewhere have a very heavy oil taste and the eggs are not as fluffy) so love this dish!!

The oysters were fresh with a variety of condiments to match with👍👍

The boat noodle is very flavourful and the rice noodle is quite chewy - definitely not the usual noodles we eat in singapore. However, if it is soaked in the soup for too long, it can get abit too salty. The beef boat noodle also comes with a few pieces of beef slices and beef tendon. My personal take is that the tendon can be cooked slightly longer for it to be more tender.

Tom yum soup is spicy and intense❤ w a variety of seafood inside. Consist of a large prawn but the prawn is not super fresh though..

Cashew nuts chicken is nice and fragrant and has a little crisp which adds a nice touch when eating it!

Was expecting the salted egg sotong to be crispy but ended up very soggy due to the wet sauce but after eating a few pieces, it can get addictive as well. The salted egg taste is very on point🌟

But fried pork lard was quite underwhelming.. was expecting fried pork skin (thai snack) but it was really a small bowl of pork lard (猪油渣) to be added to the soup for extra fragrance. While it only cost $2, i will probably not order in future.

Overall, the food is very flavourful and the ambience is comfortable. I will definitely come back again to try the mookata set.

1 bundle deal consists of 2 Mains, 1 Dessert and 2 Drinks so i shared with my friend and ordered a Chicken Steak Out.

As shown in the pic, it includes a chicken chop, quite generous amount of fries, and some calamari.

The food is decently good and and the chicken chop is tender (unlike some places where the chicken chop comes off as abit too dry). For desserts, i tried Apple Crumble (so bad... expected it to be warm but nope and it was so dry) and tiramisu (so good!!). Drinks choices were quite interesting - largely smoothie with icecream on top. But it would have been better if we can ask for the icecream to come last and just have rhe smoothie as drinks as the icecream was melting while we were enjoying the mains so we had to frantically finished the icecream first before continuing with our mains.

Overall the restaurant had ok ambience, especially considering the fact that it is located in Woodlands. Will definitely come back again to try other food on their menu but probably wont order the set anymore..

Value-for-money: 4/5
Burpple savings: 2.5/5 (~ $6.60 per set)
Food quality: 3.5/5

The set includes 2 bowls of don, 2 cups of tea, 2 salad, 2 miso soups and 4 yakitori sticks (not included in this pic)

The mentaiyaki don includes a good variety of seafood - salmon, tuna, octopus, prawn, scallop etc so the taste is definitely not flat or jelat. The different ingredients adds a different texture to each bite.

The miso soup is very flavourful and even includes clams which is a pleasant surprise.

Yakitori is not bad and quite tender!

The salad is abit of a subpar, but since it is an appetiser, it is probably included in the set to make it more healthy🤣

Tea is refillable in some outlets and not in some so will probably check with the staff.

Pricing wise, the set costs $34.98 nett even though the app states $29.90 (due to gst and service charge). Burpple savings is not significant since the restaurant also has an ongoing promotion set at $35.90++

But overall will still go back again for this hearty set that includes everything you want for a meal 🤤

Value-for-money: 4/5
Burpple savings: 4/5
Food quality: 3.5/5

To use the beyond voucher, we are required to order 2 mains, 2 drinks and 2 desserts so we order 1 Braised Beef Broth ($9.90), 1 Green curry with rice ($9.90), 1 Americano ($4.30), 1 Thai Milk Tea ($4.20), 1 Shibuya Toast - Aloha Coconut ($5.20) and Single Kaya Dip - Pandan Kaya ($5.20)

For the 2 mains, I opted for one soup and one rice because i know that the desserts might be quite heavy (all are toasts) so didnt want to be overly full before the dessert.

The beef broth tastes rich and so comforting to drink. The green curry, on the other hand, tasted usual (always a must order for me)! Didnt get to try their tomyum soup/noodles as I was told by the staff that they do not serve tomyum that day. Was abit disappointed initially but glad that I chose the beef broth!

Toast is not overly sweet, probably because one of the flavour chosen is coconut which is a fantastic wrap up to the meal👍

Value-for-money: 4/5
Burpple savings: 4/5 (1 for 1 don)

Total adds up to less than $21 after gst & service charge after using Beyond for Truffle Beef Yakiniku and Salmon Mentaiko Don ($18.90 each)

Ordered medium rare and the beef is tender and the rice is not just plain white rice but came as fried rice which is fragrant and flavourful.

Salmon used is fresh and the portion given is very generous. Came during lunchtime on a weekday and it was quite packed already.

Will definitely come back again
