Took the platter for 3, to feed 4. Turkey (sliced) was juicy, not dry as one would expect, wagyu brisket, pork ribs and pork belly burnt ends were tasty and juicy.
Sides: Mac and cheese had fondue like cheese on it, colesaw to balance the flavours, brisket dirty rice for a kicking side, and of course it is not a southern US bbq meal without corn bread!
Desserts: banana pudding and apple crumble are must try!!!
Staff are very friendly folks, and very attentive too! Offered to keep our food warm in the warmer while waiting for my other guests to arrive, although it was my bad for not informing to delay the serving.
One of the juiciest burgers I have tasted, buns have a fluffy core and a nice toasty crust. Caramelized onions that made it taste even better. $11.50 for a double cheeseburger; don't let its size fool you. The flavour and the satisfaction (filling up stomach space and tastebuds) is worth the money.
I had it on an empty stomach and it was after am intense workout session. Filled me up.
Featured: Set B (Fried chicken drumstick) + otak (the round fishcake looking item on top of the rice) for 9.90.
Ikan bilis and peanuts are pretty on point.
Cucumber presents a fresh crunch and texture, the sambal is so rich in umami and spicy-ness, rice is reminiscent of how old school nasi lemak coconut rice was - flavourful yet not too heavy. Blue pea adds a touch of colour and makes it feel like one is having a kueh.
Chicken drum, well fried, no raw parts, no traces of blood yet not overcooked.
Managed to catch the happy hour promotion. Oysters (raw in ponzu) are fresh! Definitely would recommend. Prawns are decent, fish selection is not bad. The mamager is very friendly!
Looking for alcoholic ice cream? Look no further. Tasted 6 flavours
Rum n' raisin at the bottom, tiramisu on top.
Pistachio at the bottom, lychee on top.
Cognac chocolate at the bottom, barcardi chocolate.
Yum! Be here to try it or you will SCREAM when it gets crowded or closed.
Onsen egg is amazing! Got the truffle and misomayo. Truffle smell and taste was pretty decent in strength.
Portion size is good!
Both items were quite good. Worth the money. Risotto was a little wetter than expected but still good. Thin crust was amazing.
Very adorable latte art. Coffee is pretty decent. Latte gula is quite balanced. Melbourne flat white tasted a little roasted but overall decent.
The brunch set is worth it. Comes with a mimosa and 4 courses. Guaranteed to feel really full.
Beef cheeks and lamb chorizo were both very tasteful. A little over cooked to liking but it may just be done that way. It does taste pretty good nonetheless.
Staff are friendly and attentive.
Char kway teow with amazing wok hei, assam laksa that is rich with a slight tang! Lor bak tastes home made, chilli is a little too tangy but otherwise pretty good! Try the chendol too! Good for a hot day! My penangnite lunch partner concurs!
Fried chicken! Savoury, delectable. Coconut rice is fragrant, yet not too heavy, you'll not feel that it is jelak. The sambal is pretty amazing. It's has a sweet note and not too spicy.
The soft boiled egg was not expected based on traditional Nonya cooking. Broth tastes good, would be nice if it was hotter. Belacan was pretty tangy and slightly spicy. Not dangerous for the faint hearted. Lovely vibes.
