Ystd supper at New Udon Mookata. Can’t order A la carte, must order their set before add on what we want. Set 1 is including pork, chicken, squid, prawn, sausage, fishball, egg, crabstick and veggies. The portion quite big so I never add anything anymore. Lousy customer service experience when paying When you come, rmb to tell them beforehand you’re using burpple. They asked misleading questions at the start like “where did you reserve from?”, and blamed us for not saying “I reserved from Burpple”. What is the difference if we had told you beforehand vs after the meal, that we are usinf Burpple? There is no reservation button from Burpple at all. Also mixed up our meat orders. Would not come again.

Great food, choices and 1f1 deal Would definitely come again!! (-: the spread of food for the buffet was good. Fresh seafood, meat and the usual meatballs, tofu and etc. But be aware that most/all staff there (when we were there) only speaks chim Chinese. Luckily my friend was a fluent speaker!

Great service and marinated meat for bbq It’s pretty alright for the hotpot/bbq, nothing fancy but have to agree that they do serve decent quality of meat (esp the marinated pork belly). ridiculous customer service went there on a tuesday afternoon, 2 pax, both students. showed them the page of the burpple 141 all day buffet before entering and the cashier said can use on that day. after finishing the meal, they charged me wknd adult prices for the 141! even though we were both students, and we went on a weekday lunch … charged me 30.80 for 2 pax when if without the deal, i would have paid 35.40 for 2 pax student lunch anyways. absolute clickbait when didnt even specify in t&cs of the deal itself, only told us after we finished the meal. dont ever go there what a misleading advertisement to attract customers.

Korean Tteokbokki Hotpot Buffet 4⭐️/5 (Applicable for burpple 30%) [Dinner buffet $19.90 + cheese ring $9.90 before GST] Pretty unique buffet with lots of variety like the tteokbokki, deep fried dishes and fish cake stewer. Ordered the classic soup which is sweet, flavourful and not spicy. The cheese ring contains sweet corn which I think should be left out, haha. Finishing the hotpot, there is an option to fry the rice with the left over soup base but I think the fried rice was a meh.

Ice Cream + Waffles Finally tried their best selling ice cream flavour (salted butterscotch) one last time again before they closed down permanently + valrhona chocolate ($8) + waffles ($4) last time I have tried with my mum and sister after covid phase 2 where they r dine in. I think that salted butterscotch really so good, savoury and salty taste and taste remaines as same throughout the years. But valrhona chocolate just jelak for me tbh, milky, creamy and bitter taste and also thick texture and still complemented well with salted butterscotch. Waffles I think that they just overcooked (slightly hard to cut down) and got a bit of "char" edge 🥲. It turned soggy once ice cream melted it off towards the end.

Matcha & Cream Cheese Soft Serve They serve matcha / cream cheese / mix soft serve which I decided to go with the mix to get the combination of both flavours. The matcha flavour was intense with hints of bitterness and the cream cheese flavour is creamy, slightly savoury and salty. These two flavours blended quite well with one another with a mix of different tastes all in one cone. As it is a soft serve, it started melting a little too fast after serving. Thanks to Burpple Beyond, we get to enjoy 2 Soft Serve for the price of 1 ✌ (U.P $4.80)

Shiro Kuma 8.8+Used Beyond White Bear Lemon and choc casing. Not a fan of lemon but this was quite balanced, the rest who love lemon enjoyed this

Match & Cream Cheese Soft Serve I was informed that they are moving to another new place and closing this on 11 Sep after I bought their voucher on Chope. It was a sad news especially there wasn’t any interesting dessert stall at Chinatown Food Street. The soft serve was nice with strong taste of matcha and mixed well with the cream cheese as well.

skip the pho [6.9/10] we had the chicken pho & bun kho sets and topped up a dollar for their homemade drinks (worth! unless you are a soft drink person). the pho was a bit too salty and ordinary - we’d suggest giving it a miss. we enjoyed the bun kho which was flavourful. a small cosy place with a regular flow of customers tho with some annoying flies. would want to try their drip coffee on our next visit.

Beef Noodles Burpple Set ($17.90 1 For 1) The bf had the beef noodles set and it was slightly sweet. I found it a bit odd but he loved it haha. Set comes with Spring rolls too (could choose fresh or fried). We picked the fresh option and it was so good!

Permanently closed! Wasted 30minutes of me and my friend’s time searching for the coffee roaster only to find out that it is no longer operating. Burpple team please keep your listing updated to avoid wasting people’s time.

Coffee one for one Been wanting to try this place and was in the vicinity. Price is good with burpple but you get a weak or milder coffee. Taste of coffee is really weak but I guess good enough for a post lunch pick me up.

a slightly below average cup of coffee was quite hard to find as there was no unit 114 but it's this shop that says 112-116. the coffee was kinda disappointing, esp the hot expresso we ordered - taste of coffee was sooo mild it was almost like hot milk. the latte was as mid as it gets without much coffee fragrance or milkiness. wouldn't come back again even with burpple beyond. service was rly good though!

Seafood donburi is really good We tried out the seafood donburi and truffle beef donburi. Both were good, but the seafood donburi was the better of the 2 with the variety of seafood (unagi, seaweed, shrimp, scallop). With the egg on top of the seafood donburi, the entire combination blended very well together. The beef was overall good, just with some bits slightly tougher to chew.

Truffled Beef Donburi Imagine indulging in tender beef slices drenched in well marinated sauce, topped with caviar, foie gras, scallions and a perfect onsen egg. The truffle aroma brings the taste to another level- here is a must order Donburi! 🤤

Seafood Donburi In Hotstone Bowl - Yum 🤤 This had a nice umami taste of the seafood mix- scallop, prawn🍤, fish roe, unagi and topped with an onsen egg. Yummilicious! As it is being served in a hotstone bowl, the dish came hot and I love the rice which is fragrantly charred. Highly recommended! 😋

Cozy vibes Good place to order many dishes to try, this fried chicken and the fried rice is a must order. The scallops are good too. Place is cozy and lively. Good for colleagues and friends to hang out after work.

Grilled pork belly and pork collar Place was vibey nice for small drinks and talks. Nice ambience, with comfortable lighting. Menu is interesting with special and unique dishes not found elsewhere. Love the grilled pork collar and pork belly the most, was impressed by the first bite with the charred taste and aroma of the meat. Minced pork katsu and pork jowl were nice too. Like combination of the pork jowl with the runny egg. Staff were friendly and provided recommendations, they were also prompt to respond to requests. Overall a satisfactory experience.

Chill vibes for drinks after work! Met my friend for dinner at Shukuu Izakaya for some skewers after work, and it was a fun experience! It was our first time visiting an Izakaya and we were spoilt for choices. We ordered a few of the skewers - the beef wagyu was really tender and nice, while the pork belly and pork collar were soooo flavourful. We were both pleasantly surprised by how good the pork was. The minced pork katsu was yummy too, served piping hot and packed with meat. Vibes of the place was nice and chill, making it a good place to hang and unwind after a day’s work with a glass of beer paired with skewers. If that’s what you’re looking for then Shukuu Izakaya is a place for you :)
