Flavours bought : Mango, peach, apple crumble, tiramisu and snow crab mentaiko

Promo at AMK was buy 6 and get 2 free items (applicable only for normal items at $1.20). Total price paid was about $17+ with the croffles priced from $2.70 to $3+.

Pretty worth it as the croffles were quite big and were also generous with ingredients. Have yet to tried all but so far my favourite is the mango one as it was topped with a lot of sweet mango cubes.

Went on a weekend and there was a queue which didn't look too long but it moved quite slow. Food also took awhile to arrive after being seated but no big issue as there is free flow soup while waiting. Soft tofu stew ($11.90+) did not come with rice and had to add on separately ($1.50+) - note that there is GST but no service charge. The portion is not very big but is ok for small eaters. Soup was a little spicy but satisfying. Tofu was not the super soft kind typically used in sundubu but that was fine.

Redeemed the 1 for 1 deal and was surprised when the seller allowed us to redeem it without getting a drink (i.e. 1 for 1 acai with the drink being optional). Total was $9.80 nett for two M acai bowls. I preferred the cookie monster better out of the two due to the ingredients and cookie butter. However, seems like the quality used to be better when they were located at Singpost. Not sure if it was because the acai was left at the counter for a few minutes (since we were told to return in 5mins without being given a buzzer) but the acai was not really icy. A friend commented that it didn't seem fresh as well. But given the 1 for 1 promo, its still very worth it and would return again.

They had many pre-set options but I decided to go with the classic rosti with sour cream ($10.90) and top up with the mushrooms ($5.50) instead. Total price paid was $16.40 nett since there was no GST/ service charge. Rosti and mushroom were both good, but seems like prices have risen (compared to an earlier review on Burpple with the exact same combo) so its not exactly cheap. But still worth a try and very convenient in terms of location.

Passed by KINEX and decided to give it a try since they have Burpple Beyond. Pandan latte sounded interesting but did not really taste special. Peach oolong was nice! Very worth it with Burpple (total $4.70 for both). Do note that exclusions apply for the deal and drinks above $6 are ineligible.

L to R: Lychee white peach,Earl Grey, Ispahan, Paris Brest, Mango Banana, Pink Guava

TLDR; Eclairs are very pretty but most look better than they taste. Worth a try with Burpple as it is quite pricey (~$8.50 each). Would consider going back to get the Ispahan again using Burpple.

1. Lychee white peach (seasonal): Looks pretty, but lychee taste was mild and couldn't taste the white peach - 2/5
2. Earl Grey (seasonal): Could taste the earl grey but I didn't like it. Best part was the blueberries - 2/5
3. Ispahan (classic): Must-try! Light floral taste really complemented the lychee. The rasperry's tartness balanced it out and also added texture - 5/5
4. Paris Brest (seasonal): Very plain and unassuming at a glance, almost skipped on it but it was nice. Hazelnut cream reminded me of ferrero rocher and the nuts added a nice crunch - 4/5
5. Mango Banana (seasonal): Mango blended quite well with the banana, but nothing exceptional to go back for - 3/5
6. Pink Guava (seasonal): Sounded interesting but just felt that it tasted weird. Give it a miss - 1/5

Got the burpple set ($79++). Overall, this place is overpriced and I am NEVER returning. Would not recommend this place to anyone. There are many other places with much better value, quality of food, and service.
Service: Subpar at best. Initially there were problems with the app and the deal was shown as "Not Available". When we checked with the waiter, the response we got was quite defensive and he emphasized on how it was not their issue, but an issue with Burpple's system. Understand that it is not the fault of the restaurant, but felt like it could have been handled better - perhaps handling it in a less defensive tone (pushing everything on Burpple). Apart from this, service was poor as the servers all felt very new/untrained. The same request had to be repeated several times (e.g. requesting for dessert 3x just to get it served). Items were also served up haphazardly with the mains coming before the sides. The service is, to put bluntly, damn poor for the prices being charged. If you are going to charge high prices and market yourself as a higher-end restaurant, then your service better live up to it as well. Otherwise, lower your prices.
Food wise:
- Appetisers (leek soup/bread dip): bread dip was not bad, the bread was soft and the dip was interesting. Soup was soso and nothing to rave about.
- Sides (calamari/truffle fries):calamari was not bad, crispy. Truffle fries (replaced since tater tots OOS) was very BLAND. Truffle taste was so mild if you told me it was plain fries I'd have believed it. Even fries from McDonald taste better.
- Mains (pork jowl/truffle chicken): pork jowl saved the day. It was tender and well seasoned. The chicken, though, was very very mediocre. Not tender and no truffle taste at all - have tasted better chicken chop from coffee shop Western stalls at less than a quarter of the price they charge here lol. In addition, the portions are damn small - if I came here and ordered ala carte and received this, I would be very upset.
- Dessert (matcha churros/tiramisu): the other saviour of the day. Both tasted great, only gripe was how long it took them to serve it. Had to ask the servers 3x and waited quite a long time despite it not being a full house.
