My MIL always packs home curry chee cheong fun for breakfast whenever I return to KL to visit. This was how I became acquainted with the dish. And the one sold here at Maxwell Food Centre tastes exactly the same, if not slightly better. If I had one criticism, the texture of beancurd skin could be crunchier.
Not sure when they moved here, but having lived in the vicinity for the past 3 decades, i'm kinda stumped that we didn't find this place earlier.
We thought it was just another cafe serving run-of-the-mill brunch recipes, but were pleasantly surprised. Every dish is special, judging by its description in the menu and choice of ingredients. We only had space in our stomach for 3 dishes, but will probably return to the rest.
The standard dropped a little, I thought. While served with generous chunks of apple and cinnamon, there was less crumble on the top, making it less moist. Still a crowd-pleaser, i guess...
A new addition to the revamped ODP menu, this is a must-try dish and deserves all its hype. The souffle is all marshmallow goodness, not too rich, not too sweet.
Although not a chef recommendation on the menu, certainly one of the best rosti dishes that we've ever had.
An Asian twist to a brunch staple... Worth every calorie.
Part of the executive lunch set, the lychee fruit is prepared in 3 different ways - panna cotta, sorbet and a slurpee-like dessert. Portions are generous.
A delicious beef dish cooked in a way that I've never tasted before. Who would have known that a Chinese restaurant popular with foreigners would serve up mouthwatering Chinese dishes like this!
Never thought we would be able to find affordable North Indian fine cuisine in the heart of the Tiong Bahru estate. Palak paneer, it's been more than 5 years since I had you...
Thumbs up for creativity. Thumbs up for taste. Worth your calories.
