We don’t believe this is a dish that’s served that commonly in Singapore, hence we decided to order it. While not perfect, it was a pretty satisfying dish overall. The sausage did not have too intense a flavor to it, and was thankfully not overdone. The chutney seemed to be the star of the show, with its acidity and bite giving good contrast to the dish. However, we don’t think a scotch egg can be called as such without a molten interior. Also, these were only warm when they arrived at our table, rather than being served piping hot.

Serving this on a slightly sweeter slice of bread (Pilsner loaf it seems) turned out to be an amazing decision by the Chef as it paired perfectly with the myriad of savoury toppings packed within. The gems inside the sandwich included pulled pork, prosciutto as well as tallegio cheese. This was our first time trying this cheese but it’s intense flavor and saltiness really went well with the bread.

We loved every single thing about this dish. The dumplings were plump yet had a nice bite to it. The best part was definitely the sauce, which had a great garlic and mushroom flavor to it. What’s surprising was that it wasn’t gelat and you just kept going back for more.

This escargot dish was a great starter and everything about it was good as well. The snails were perfectly cooked, not rubbery and had a nice bite to it. The best part was the accompanying garlic butter and parmesan that really enveloped each snail. This sauce went really nicely with the fresh bread that they served as well.

Everything on this plate was just delicious. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare, and what made this cut perfect was that it wasn’t grainy or feel fibrous or tough at all. If anything, the steak could have used just a bit more pepper. But the sauce was so scrumptious, with a bit of acidity to provide some contrast. The fries were also perfectly fried, and well-seasoned. They were extremely crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside. Perfect lunch!

This might be one of the best beef cheeks around! The sauce was not too overpowering and set the stage for the star of the show: the beef cheeks. The meat was so tender that you didn’t need a knife. There was also the gelatinous portion which made it so satisfying to eat!

For those who are considering coming here for the buffet:
1) Even for the option without drinks, 78++ is still pretty pricey.
2) the service is actually quite slow, even though the restaurant was only at half capacity at max.
3) most of the dishes were only mediocre but some stand-outs would include the snapper pie, the beef and lobster sliders, the chicken wings, the chili crab linguini. Many of these dishes are also available on the ala carte menu, so if you have a big appetite and wanna try many of those dishes, then maybe it’ll be worth!
We had this dish as part of the brunch buffet but believe it’s available on the Ala Carte menu as well. This dish was brilliant in every single aspect. The banana cake was moist, not too sweet, and had great texture to it. It actually tastes like the one from Hiap Joo in JB (which we love). It came with a hokey pokey ice cream, which tasted like butterscotch? It was also really well-balanced, with a good mix of sweetness and savoriness. Finally, there was some sort of crumble which gave good texture to this dessert, in addition to the caramelised bananas.

We had this as part of the weekend champagne brunch and it was not good at all. The barramundi was way too salty, the skin was soggy and the meat was overcooked. The oysters were decent, but the topping was over seasoned as well.
The cheese on the grilled lobster was overcooked and tasted like a plastic sheet. The lobster itself tasted really bland however.
DON’T ORDER❌
This was easily one of the best vegetable dishes we’ve had in a Long time. Every single strand was perfumed with the fragrance of garlic and remained perfectly crunchy. It was also not dripping in oil, as is common with many Zichar style veggie dishes.

This dish arrived piping hot and extremely fragrant which got us really excited, as this was our first time trying the dried version. However, we felt that the dish was only mediocre. Despite its fragrance, the sauce was not really flavourful and didn’t really pack a punch. It was actually pretty bland, although the fried cuttlefish added a nice savouriness to the dish. There were five chunky pieces of pork ribs given, which was pretty generous. While they weren’t terrific, they were pretty tender, and generally fall-off-the-bone.

The hotdog was nice and crunchy on the outside but didn’t have a very distinct taste to it as it was overwhelmed by the sauce. This was the Cool Chili Southern one which had a really Flavorful and slightly spicy chili that came along with it. While the cucumber raita was refreshing, there wasn’t much acidity to it and it wasn’t very special Nor did it feel like much effort was put into it.
Note: there was a fly in the hot dog which was slightly shocking. While it was replaced eventually, they didn’t seem very sorry about it and didn’t feel very willing to replace it as well, though they did apologize. Found out that it was the owner of the place who was serving us later and handled the situation really poorly even though it wasn’t crowded.
While nothing was really spectacular about this dish, there was just a very comforting element to it. The bisque while flavourful and definitely addictive, could have used more pepper and could have been thicker. Also, while the prawns and scallops were fresh, they definitely weren’t seared, and had no crust to it. Nonetheless, you cant go that wrong with a dish like this.
