Yong tau foo! I have been eating Bai Nian for many years now! However, it has been around 3 years since I last ate it! (Used to frequent the stall at Chai Chee area after gym classes!) Happy to know that they have opened up another stall at Old Airport Food Centre now! I think the prices have increased though. It is now $5.90 for the yong tau foo meal. What is so special about the yong tau foo here is that it is a fixed set that consists of various yongtaufoo items, as well as specialty such as prawn ball and meat balls. The Meat Balls are my favourite! Super love their spicy hot chilli sauce too! This stall used to have a very very long queue at Albert Centre hawker, not sure if it is still the same now! Regular ($4.90) Perfect Comfort food. It comes with ingredients such as prawn, pork, bitter gourd, meat tenders, beancurd etc. Eating this always leaves me satisfied, and the uncles and aunties have great service too. If you think the portion is too small, you can upsize to the $5.90 bowl, or get their set with chicken wing which is $6.30.

For Western Fare in Jalan Besar This new stall in Berseh Food Centre serves delectable Western plates that way surpass coffeeshop fare, which adequately justifies the slightly higher prices. Start with the Mushroom Soup ($3), which Burppler Jocelyn Ning found flavourful and enjoyable. If you're in the mood for a meaty feast for mains, order the generously portioned Lamb Shank ($15.50), cooked till soft and tender, and served with mashed potato and a salad on the side. For something less rich, the Seafood Pasta ($7.90), which comes with lots of squid, prawns and clams, and cooked with a touch of white wine, is a good option. Lamb Shank ($15.50) Man, these western hawker stalls are really putting up some game. A new stall in Berseh Food Centre, they're dishing out some really tasty food. A gargantuan lamb shank that's definitely more than enough for one but you'll be astounded again when your fork sinks deftly through the tender meat. The accompanying sides were not bad, with a really tasty (but slightly salty) aglio olio and pickled purple cabbage. If you're game, get a straw (no shame!) when you're done and stick it down the bone for all that yummy bone marrow. 😛

Küchef: Seafood Pasta Seafood pasta at the price of $7.90 only w lots of prawns and squid (clams are in but I don't eat it, so i requested no clams). Really well cooked w a touch of white wine 🍾

Steamed Chicken Rice for $7 Taste wise is good. But portion wise? Not worth it for $7 in my opinion. Asked for extra chicken and I did not get it.

Ckn rice 5.5nett Their ckn amount is quite sad but it's very beautifully cut. Go for the 6.5nett portion at least, the price just corresponds to the ckn not the rice amount Chili was good, the ginger sauce was light and pleasant. Rice was normal but I always rmbed TFT being good, and I was reminded again today when I had the chicken: the sauce is amazing. Really intense and full of ginger and soy sauce flavours, it's the most intense sauce for a chicken rice place I've had. Ckn is pretty good too Worth a try if you are okay w paying a premium, usually the queue is short too cos of the price

Best Chicken Rice in Bukit Merah Pay ABC Brickworks Market and Food Centre a visit for some dang good chicken. While the rice in the Chicken Rice ($3.50) is nothing much to write home about, the chicken more than makes up for it — smooth and slippery meat served in a boneless cut fashion that's easy to eat, made especially addictive with a special secret sauce rumoured to be a product of 12 different ingredients. 滷肉飯 Lor Bak Png (Soy Braised Pork Rice) My curiosity had the better of me when I went into Clifford Centre jolly well knowing that the food scene on the ground floor has not changed over time. So wasn't really clear what to expect. I almost gave up when I noted the unit number was a stall selling nasi lemak, which honestly wasn't too delectable looking. When I knew that the Lor Bak Png is available and eventually holding this bowl of piping hot rice, I know my curious its and persistence paid off. The braised pork is melt in your mouth delicious as the fats and meat were nicely caramelised and melts into the rice - which is decent by its standards. The Lor Bak Png, accompanied by the zucchini pickle and chili oil (辣椒油) was an absolute delight and more than make up for the lackluster outfit. This is what comfy food is about.

Heavenly 卤肉饭 from 一把火🔥 Here's a humble melt-in-your-mouth bowl of comfort food, with the steaming white rice doused in generous lu-rou sauce. The best is the tender fats of the meat. Will definitely come back here again for this bowl which is as delicious as it is value-for-money. PS. the crispy chili accompanying it also added a punch to the taste! ($4.80 including meat upsize and egg)
