Relaxing brunch follows by delish cake, that's what you could get at VCR. The price tag is on the high side but fret not, a portion of big breakfast is sufficient to feed two souls, with a little provision left for the amazing piece of cake. The King is their signature cake, peanut butter flavor and I totally love the cake as the sweetness hits just the right spot as it's not too overwhelming.
Minions invasion is here to haunt all minions lovers again! Got the bf to purposely drove out to get the banana pie because it has minion packaging which is darn cute, I cannot even.... Back to food, banan pie is decent enough as snacks despite it being a tad oily. But what could you ask for when it's so convenient and cute!
Clean eating delivery services have been in KL for quite some time but most of them needs abit of planning, some a day, or even a week earlier which busy bee working adults may not have the time for such planning. Things changed when this comes into the market, it claims to deliver the food within 45 mins, which equates to, no planning required! I have tried twice of their chicken combo where you get either grilled/oven baked chicken, sauce, and two sides. I gotta say the food doesn't disappoint even though the price tag is abit steep at RM 20, but for working adults who wanna eat clean but just don't have the time to do meal prep, this could be a good alternative. Try it out guys!
Seriously, the final outcome that you can get from this place is limitless when there are so many different choices for the customers to mix & match! Thumbs up for having such creative idea!
This wins hands down against Cafe bene (mehhhh) on their quality of bingsu as the ice is so so finely shaved compared to the coarse ice that is sold by the competitor. A minor complaint is that the vanilla ice cream is wayyyyy too sweet and too much of vanilla essence used that is kinda cloying towards the end. Nonetheless, will be back to try their iljeonmi & black sesame bingsu.
Finally gave it a try for the famous dimsum shop which has finally opened up branches at our shore. The staples are not as good as the original in HK as some of the dimsum sold here are slightly more oily than its origin. However, it's good enough if you have no plans to hop over to SG or HK to try it given our weakening MYR.
The originator of chilli pan mee. They do live up to its fame and the quality doesn't disappoint.
Finally I'm following the latest trend and set foot at this cafe which seems to be the latest hype in KL brunch scene. Big Breakfast @ RM 30 which seems to be abit hefty given that the ingredients served are the usual suspects in big breakfast but my companion who is a big eater actually felt full after finishing the whole portion so I guess it sorts of justified the price tag. I Wanna Be Kaya @ RM 22, two pieces of toasts served with poached pears and strawberries, with kaya as the sauce. Quite an interesting combination I'd say as all the elements blend in well and more brunch cafΓ©s are dishing our sweet brunch items as compared to the usual savoury ones. A good move definitely as it makes the local brunch scene more interesting! π
Spotless service & excellent food. This is what diners can expect when dining in at Yuzu, I have never had any awful experience dining there. Despite the price tag being abit heavy on the wallet, it doesn't hurt splurging on quality food to reward yourself after all the hard work thrown into your work/study.
True to its name, the cakes served at Rekindle never disappoints! The red velvet cake as moist and not too cloying, whereas for the chocolate bailey's fare a little lesser as the alcohol aftertaste isn't quite pleasant. Nevertheless, it's a good place to unwind and have a good chat with your companion. π
The ready made combination, with waffles as base, topped with lemon meringue, strawberry marshmallow, combo ice cream flavours and berry compote as side. The waffles are not as crunchy and fragrant as #insidescoop though. #everysundae
