Pioneers in the Melbourne (in particular Fitzroy) cafe scene, Proud Mary is the go-to place for good vibrations and fun-filled atmosphere by the high-strung bearded barristas and service crew.

You definitely need to go at least 3 times to try everything on the glass display.

With more than 100 years of history, Hopetoun Tea Rooms is the must-go place near Collins street if you are a HUGE cakes and tarts fan. Everything you see there is freshly baked in the morning and sold out by end day. Expect long queue. Must try: Pavlova (of course) and Apple pie (with berries).

It seems like you need to queue for everything that is delicious in Penang. And queues usually last as long as 30 minutes if you're not barging in on quality. This famous curry mee stall only opens in the morning and usually sold out by noon (that's a common story for most famous stall). If you haven't heard of the rising trend in mee kuali, you probably wouldn't know how famous curry mee is in Penang, and to be the best, there's only one. If you're blessed enough, you could get the whole mackerel version that is fresh from the morning market. Otherwise it also tastes good with pork ribs.

We waited 30-minutes for this delight. Each plate comes with generous serving of large prawn if you request for it. 3 large prawns to be exact. Be sure to order from the old lady (only). Drink at this eatery is not cheap. Coconut going for 5.50 Ringgit. #penang #charkwayteow #prawn #food #georgetown #henghuat

Probably less than 2 Ringgit a bowl, this delicious bowl of coconut dessert is to-die-for in the hot weather of Penang. Take note there's 2 stalls along this street, just follow the one with the longer queue and you won't go wrong.
