The platter served by Aryaa came with Melitzanosalata (eggplant dip), Tzatziki (a concoction of yoghurt, cucumber and other condiments), Tirokafteri (spicy cheese dip), Tiropitakia (feta cheese wrapped in filo pastry) and a small basket of pita bread. The pita bread was nothing to fawn over but the dips (the dips!!!) were extremely savoury, creamy, rich and delectable. It was a medley of flavours in a single dish and every mouthful was a delight. You get to enjoy a little tanginess, the hit of spiciness and a savoury tang. I enjoyed every slice of pita bread with a mixture of different dips. The Tiropotakia was slightly on the saltier side though, and we shared our feedback with the chef. For full review:

Located at lvl 1 of Westgate Mall lies this new korean fusion restaurant, NY Night Market. The outside of the restaurant looked very welcoming, with its loud and vibrant colour and decor.

NY Night Market is brought to us by the same people who brought us Masizzim, Kogane Yama, Nipong Naepong & Chir Chir Fusion Chicken Factory, all of which have branches in JEM/ Westgate.

My favourite dishes are the Waterfall Cheese Shrimp & Beef & Rosti.

Beef & Rosti consists of beef slices pan-fried with onion & garlic, along with pan-fried potato cakes at the side with sour cream on top.
This dish was really flavourful when the sweet sauce from beef met sour cream. The taste of sweetness lingered in my tongue as I took a bite of the soft rosti. Yumz!

Waterfall Cheese Shrimp is also one of the most popular dishes & a must-try dish for all cheese lovers. The cheese fondue is just mouth-watering. The amount of shrimps & cheese sauce given is quite generous. The shrimps are juicy, fresh & have a hint of pepper taste.

This is my favourite main course at Joie! Lion’s mane mushrooms are my favourite because they taste so good, so juicy and are super nutritious. They are also kind of pricey and it’s so rare to get such a big serving.

The mushroom was nicely grilled and the juices well-sealed within so you get to enjoy it with every bite. The mushroom was placed on top of a hot slab of stone and you will hear the mushroom sizzle as you press against the stone. The truffle mashed potato was superb too.

Mentaiko Katsu Burger - Snuggled between two brioche burger buns was a crispy pork cutlet patty, generously peppered with seaweed and topped with mentaiko sauce. The bun was slightly crumbly; I would have liked if the burger buns held up better. The patty, on the other hand, was nicely-done, delectable and flavourful. The seaweed added a layer to the taste but turned soggy quickly in the presence of the mentaiko sauce; I will recommend to eat the burger fast to enjoy it fully. Add on the mentaiko sauce to go with their thick-cut fries! Read full review: https://auntydiscountclub.wordpress.com/2018/07/19/brunch-at-grub/

Their menu is filled with familiar local zichar fare such as claypot rice and stir-fried hor fun. But the must-try is definitely their congee! We extremely favour the salted-egg pumpkin porridge. The hot plate main dishes are also pretty awesome. Read more: https://auntydiscountclub.wordpress.com/2018/07/26/green-signature-we-came-for-the-congee/

The food is, at best, average and pricey for the quality. But if you’re looking for a place to sit down with your pals, catch up over drinks and not too particular about the food, Bones ‘N Barrels might be the restaurant you’re looking for, with its affordable drinks menu, relaxed alfresco environment and friendly staff.
