To end the Omakase dinner during fruits season this restaurant allows you to choose two of the seasonal fruits which the chef will cut two or three slices of each choice. Good way to end a yummy meal.

This is the almost last item of the Omakase meal and the taste is deliciously amazing. Unagi is fresh and well cooked with the rice. Sauces is just enough for the rice not overwhelmingly salty nor sweet. A good item to end a yummy delicious dinner.

A good morning breakfast food. Worth every cent of it. Porridge is smooth with lots of ingredients such as stomach, minced meat, pork slices etc. Prices range from $3.50 to $4. Closed on Monday opening times 645 am to 2.30 pm or sold out.

For $4 this set has a fried egg, cabbage and a curry big sized chicken drumstick. The added bitter gourd was only $0.80 more and it’s really worth it. Overall the curry flavour and taste is authentically Hainanese. Yummy!

This char siew is really gold standard though it’s name is set to differ from this restaurant’s normal char siew. The meat comes from well selected pork belly and not too fat. Fact is the fat on these pork belly are not the very fatty type but the crunchy to bite type. Oh another thing is this restaurant is the one in National Gallery not the one named Yan Palace in Chinatown.

Since the reopening of Havelock Cooked Food Centre this porridge stall is getting more popular. I love this porridge as the 3 ingredients are fresh and tasty. Porridge is smooth and creamy. For the price it’s better than any Tiong Bahru porridge stall or shops.

This young hawker is doing well considering the stall is at least 1/2 years old. The ingredients are fresh, sambal chilli is not too spicy and intensity of the soup is just right. Pig tail is cooked well and melt in the mouth. Overall it’s a good meal. Price ranges from $3.50 to $7. Closed on Wednesday

A young hawker making delicious bak chor mee. The noodle is well mixed with sauces, vinegar and sambal chilli to create a flavourful bak chor mee. All ingredients are fresh and yummy too. Prices are very reasonable too. It ranges from $2.70 for small, $3.50 for medium and $4.50 for large. There’re also choices to add extra ingredients. Opens 7 days a week.

This eatery set up by Paradise group in Vivocity sells delicious hae mee a la Japanese ramen style. The broth looks like the Penang Hokkien mee style full of flavour. The trio is fresh big prawns, prawn paste roll with prawn roe and prawn dumplings. They’re all very fresh and tasty. You have a choice of Chinese ramen, thick bee hoon or hor fun. Although it’s almost $20 per bowl but it’s really value for money.

Blk 79 Telok Blangah Drive Food Centre has few good gems and this stall (01-38) selling prawn and fishball noodles is one of them. This is the old school prawn noodle which is more popular than the fishball noodle sold by the same stall. Noodle is cooked just right to the bite not soggy. Ingredients are fresh and soup is intense in prawn flavour yet not overly salty. The sambal chilli sauce that mixed with the noodle is really good. Overall for a breakfast of $3 to $4 it’s really value for yummy food.

This version of mee goreng is definitely different from others. The whole dish is covered with egg and chilli sauce. Just like its nasi goreng there’s wok hei which makes it way into your nostrils as you eat. Taste is excellent too.

Tucked in a coffee shop in Blk 17 Beach Road an unnamed stall sells very yummy nasi briyani. You can either have chicken or mutton nasi briyani. Both are equally fragrant and tasty. Stall opens at about 11 am and sold out usually by 2 pm.
