Don't come expecting a hoity-toity white linen restaurant — inITALY is as cosy as your imaginary Italian grandmother’s house, tastefully decorated with lavish touches. Instead of the usual Burrata ($30), go for the irresistible Stracciatella ($24) and fall in love with the fresh gooey cheese served with stewed Sicilian eggplant caponata and roasted hazelnuts — so good you’ll want to lick the bowl clean! The ambience was intimate yet casual, while the pasta was didn't hit the high expectations. Enjoyed the spicy kick of the pasta, but the prawns were nothing to shout about. Get this if you want something safe that checks the box.

Amuse Bouche Creamy semi-custard semi-liquid concoction of what I think contains egg, truffle and cream. So so delicious we were scraping the last bits off the shell, almost devouring the shell itself.

Amuse Bouche Super loved these scallops in a cone. How cute that they came in a pile of grains that lowses us tried to nibble on (lol). The attention to detail they put even into the amuse bouche is truly commendable.

Fresh Italian squid grilled to perfection with extra virgin oil, garlic and parsley. This was my favourite dish as the squid is fresh and grilled just nice (soft and chewy 😋). Combining the favourites from BBQ night and Italian Brunch, Alkaff Mansion comes up with a new Italian Gourmet Buffet every 3rd Thursday of the month. You will be spoiled for choices with more than 20 dishes and not to mention their spread of dessert that are constantly refilled to satisfy the sweet tooth in all diners.

Pad See Ew Moo Pad See Ew or Thai stir fried soy sauce noodles is an extremely popular Thai street food dish. Whereas pad thai has a sweet and nutty flavour, pad see ew is meant to be salty and packed full of wok hei. Thai God's rendition of this dish is less salty than our versions. However, it makes up for this with a strong and bold wokhei flavour. Interestingly, they seem to use slightly larger pieces of flat rice noodles or kway teow which maximises the surface area for charring. The portion is on the small side but considering the price and location, I would consider as a great option for a quick and light lunch or dinner!

Green Curry Chicken Mention Sunshine Plaza and most people would think of Victor's Kitchen and their liushabaos. For those in the know though, Sunshine Plaza is actually a little food enclave with a eclectic collection of eateries. Thai Gold Food has been around for quite some time and attracts a dedicated clientale with good affordable Thai food in the city area. Their green curry chicken was decent. The green curry was creamy and aromatic and it came with loads of green. I did wish though that they used more substantial chunks of chicken rather than the scrappy bits.

Thai fried fish with mango salad It was super crisp and fresh! Best ever by far for me!

Tonkatsu Ramen The broth for this bowl of tonkatsu ramen is really rich as compared to many other ramen that I have tried. Come on sunday to Thursday to enjoy student 10% rate, but only for ala carte menu. Otherwise, you can just get the ramen set for 17.90 / 19.90 Damage: $42.20 for two Environment wise, not my favourite because the place is really squeezing. I can't really converse with my friend one on one and space between the tables are not wide enough.

Traditional Hakata Ramen ($12.90++) Hmm what's better than a good warm ramen bowl after a long day at work? Yoshimura Ramen Bar is the best place for ramen in Holland Village. Their Traditional Hakata Ramen is so flavorful. You will definitely fall for the delicious slices of pork and the soft textured noodles plunged into this savory broth. And the best part of it is the perfectly cooked soft boiled egg that just melt in your mouth. The portions are good, and can satisfy all the big eaters like me.

Mini Mentaiko Ebi Burger Really cute mini burger, really crunchy prawns but the onions...killed the mentaiko flavour.

Swopping out michelin noodle Noodles where the feature is the pork belly or char siew is lost on me cos I don’t eat those. They kindly swopped out the pork for me today!

a noodle story i didn’t intend to come here for dinner but saw they had a promotion so i dropped by… and it ended up BLOWING MY MIND. noodles were very springy, and i enjoyed every single thing in that bowl - the egg, the soft chashu that is so soft it practically dissolves in your mouth, the ngoh hiang, fried wanton… and the wanton soup was great to cleanse my palate at the end. they had an outlet at guoco tower but it has closed unfortunately :( but so delicious 8/10!

Singapore Style Ramen | $12.90 The noodles were nicely tossed this time round with its melt in the mouth pork belly. The ngoh hiang is extremely flavourful but felt that it was a little too salty today.

Tonkusen Toroniku Ramen The Tonkusen Toroniku Ramen ($22++ for small) comes with a plate of aged iberico pork cheek that is very soft and absolutely delicious. The noodles is firm and it goes really well with the savoury and flavourful kara-miso broth. Would definitely opt for medium portion next time!

Aburi Toroniku Spicy Shio Ramen@$19.50 The Iberico pork Cheek actually taste nicer with it being Aburi-ed. Like it just melted in my mouth. The ramen noodle was el dente. The spicy shio broth was damn good la, I prefer this to the miso soup. It was flavourful, and spiciness level was not too over-powering. Steady dinner crowd, even after 8pm. Central gets rather quiet after 8pm. So for a restaurant to be rather full at such ulu timing, food gotta be good.

Tonkusen Toroniku Ramen @$23(M size)) Ramen served with Iberico Pork Cheek(Toroniku). You get to choose what flavour ramen to have, they have: 1) Shio - Mild Salt 2) Miso - Soybean 3) Shoyu- Soya Sauce 4) Kara Miso - Spicy Soybean Selected the Miso option. Soup was damn good, we actually finished the entire bowl. My wife preferred this. Noodles were el dente. Pork Cheek was tender and tasted very good. Steady dinner crowd, even after 8pm. Central gets rather quiet after 8pm. So for a restaurant to be rather full at such ulu timing, food gotta be good.
