This recipe is called "Betty Crocker's Best Chocolate Cake" and is found in the 1969 Betty Crocker's Cookbook. It was my mother's cookbook and she taught me how to bake a cake from scratch. Frosted with sweetened whipped organic cream!

Washington spring lamb, pasture raised at a local family farm. The veggies were basted with California olive oil, salt and ground pepper before grilling alongside the chops. A spring treat!
Oregon Bay Shrimp are in season! Fresh and sweet, they need no dressing. The bread is called "Manna". It's a whole wheat, carrot and raisin bread that contains no sugar. Yum!
Seasoned with fresh thyme and a mustard vinegarette. Steamed with corn, zucchini, peppers and jalapeño. Wonderful!
Fresh local chicken, no hormones or antibiotics used in raising it. Not organic but nevertheless delicious!
