While the bakery seems like an average neighbourhood bakery that sells assorted buns, their Durian Puffs are just stellar. Unlike usually pastry puffs, these came in a Bo Lo Bun consistency with crumbly, sweet milky bits with a very thick, generous and fibrous frozen ball of Durian mousse inside. Often bought these back when I was in a camp near it, and it also became a family favourite as well.

So simple tossed with just cod roe, spring onions, seaweed and shoyu, but it's so addictively good. Wish they'd added more protein to give the pasta more variance in flavour and texture, though.

One of the best I've tried, and probably one of the most underrated because Joyden Canton Kitchen isn't even a month old yet. If you're a fan of salted egg custard buns, you need to get your butt down pronto. Available daily from 11.30am-4.30pm.
