Fish with macadamia crust The fish was fresh and soft, and the crust complimented it really well! Really enjoyed this! We ordered 3 main dishes, and 2 desserts (so we could use a Burpple deal, and it was about $30/person) pretty worth it!

Keto Brownie This legit taste super super good, even on a normal brownie scale. The chocolate was fudgy but not sticky, and it wasn’t too sweet either which went very well with the ice cream! The other items on the menu also looked pretty good and decently priced for a restaurant with a nice ambiance! Would come back again to try their other food!

Plant based Crab pasta Again, taste exactly like crab! Pasta was decent.

Saturday brunch ordered hangover cure I love the toast and mushroom. Chicken Sausage is all about quality. Coffee is on point too #yum

Oceans Thirteen We we’re late in reserving a table for Sunday’s brunch and this was the best we could get. However we were lucky to have found this place and we loved it. It’s a small place with limited number of seats but it’s a great place to hang out with friends or family alike for a good brunch I would say. I ordered “Oceans Thirteen (16SGD)”, the name was quite interesting and it addition it came with things that I love, Smoked salmon, poached eggs, guacamole, beetroot marmalade, arugula, ikura, toast. Had also ordered strawberry smoothie to go with it but didn’t like it that much. Overall the food was really well done and would love to visit a next time.

Good Ocean's Thirteen Pretty good ocean's thirteen which is Smoked Salmon Benedict. Eggs nicely done, smoked salmon tasted good, love the bread! Plus it comes with avocado, beetroot and ebiko which makes a good combination of flavours.

Hidden Gem Hidden in a nook behind the row of bars at Prinsep Place is this newly opened cafe. Menu is populated by the usual cakes, waffles, coffee and other light bites like truffle fries. Nothing interesting caught our eyes so we settled for latte (too acidic), a pot of tea (very generous amount) and a chocolate rainbow cake (delicious). As far as ambience goes, it is very ideal for reading or work, if you don't mind the 90s boyband songs they play. The table by the window is very roomy for a large group, and obviously commands the best natural lighting for all your #foodporn shots. The high ceiling also gives an illusion of space for this small cafe, and is just the thing my ideal home dreams are made of.

Good Environment The first time that I entered the cafe, it felt very comfortable. I was the only one in the cafe (Guess cause of the weather; It was raining) I ordered a Vanilla Zest Ice Cream Waffle along with a Latte which cost $11.50 and sat for couple of hours using my laptop. The wifi is free and fast, and the staffs are very friendly too! :) Will definitely come again when I have time.

Bak Kut Teh Bak kut teh has additional pork liver, pig's tail etc. soup was pretty good. Unique taste. The sambal sweet potatoes was fried very well. Crunchy and yet tasty.

Lovely Meal Brought my partner to celebrate her birthday here with Hai Tien Lo's Carnation Dinner Set Menu ($108pp). The food, ambience, and service were excellent. We especially loved the Duo of Crispy Fish and Prawn, Steamed Grouper, Barbecued Meat Trio, and Hokkien Stewed Rice. Only the Superior Stock with Braised Lobster was slightly off for us as the lobster's texture was pretty bad and the soup was quite bland. However, the other dishes were delicious and we were satisfied and satiated at the end. They were even so kind as to give a lavish birthday chocolate cake for our celebration. Kudos to the team and the chef for a wonderful meal!

[NEW] Stewed Inaniwa Udon ($36++) Comes with lobster and South African mini abalone. The udon was perfectly cooked, with a satisfying chewiness that soaked up the flavourful broth. The broth itself was rich and aromatic, and brought out the sweetness of the lobster beautifully. However, I found the South African mini abalones to have an unusual fishy aftertaste that didn't quite match with the overall excellence of the dish.

Hai Tien Lo 4⭐ Had dinner at Hai Tien Lo to clock the Amex dining discount. We ordered two mains, one portion of sea perch and a rice. We were impressed by the eight treasure rice as it's good to eat it on its own without any sides. The chicken fillet is slightly spicy for me as it's cooked with Gong Bao sauce. The sweet and sour pork is coated with the right flour proportion without the batter being too thick and yet the pork is so tender. Smashed Avo ($21) We opted for a relatively healthier option to start the day and we were glad that it was more flavourful than expected. The feta yoghurt at the side goes really well with the sourdough toast. We liked the crunch from the nut toppings as well. The serving size may look small here but it's actually pretty filling. We came on a weekday morning and got a table in a few minutes. There's no service charge here 😀

Spicy Miso Boss Rib Ramen Enjoy the Burpple’s one for one promotion before it end this month. I really like their pork rib which was so juicy. $16.40

Pork Belly Ramen- Spicy Broth. 1-1! The pork belly was so good!!! The noodles and the soup too!! Not the best, but for the 1-1 promotion, TOTALLY worth it!!! Tried the char siu one before, didn't like it. But the black garlic soup is good too 👍

Boss Ribs No visit to Buta Ramen would be complete without having these fall-off-the-bone ribs. Cooked sous vide and then flame-torched for that smokey finish, you can choose to have this with one of their hearty ramens or in a rice bowl! Preferred this much more than the grilled belly.

Common Man Fluffy Pancakes ($24) Common Man Fluffy Pancakes ($24) I was honestly really excited for the pancakes, considering these were thick! The pancakes came with caramelised bananas and walnuts, salted caramel sauce, nutty crumble & berry coulis. Ngl this didn't taste like a pancake, but more like a cakey texture, which was dense and slightly dry esp at parts without the sauce. It also got jelak so you gotta share this. Kinda expected more for the price, and I'd defo prefer some fluffy pancakes for brunch! Their other dishes might be better tho! Overall Rating: 6/10

Croissant Croque Monsieur ($18) Look at that cheese! This croissant was filled with Ham, Bechamel & aged cheddar cheese. Certainly a hearty option for brunch, and it's a combination of flavours and texture that can't really go wrong. The portion might not be enough for some though!
