We got the Ah Bang's Special ($25), Trudy's Bigger Pita Pockets ($24), Jolene's Crabby Buns ($26), Jaslyn's Pop & Toast ($23) & Gordon's Sunny "Chez" Sandwich ($26)! My personal favorites were Ah Bang's Special & Jaslyn's Pop & Toast! Ah Bang's Special was something that I'd have any day, somewhat like a comfort food kinda dish. As for Jaslyn's Pop & Toast, it's definitely the sweet treat that you'd need to brighten up your weekend!

Their new brunch menu is pretty extensive & covers everything from something light, to something extremely substantial & heavy!

Highlights from the brunch menu includes the 黑 (Black) Rice ($26) & the Potato & Fish ($24)! While they look really simple, the flavors speaks for each dish. Too bad there were only the two of us, otherwise we'd have tried out the entire menu!

6 slides of pork... Gotta DIY and grill... The sauce is nice, liken to hoisen sauce with a tint of sesame... The cooked pork is kinda tough for my liking.

$11.80. Taste pretty decent. Not a must try.

$12.80. They will torch the salmon right before you! And top off with ikura.

$18.90. Generous portion of fries and coleslaw. Chicken tasted rather bland, but it's cooked. Garlic mayo didn't worked for me. Requested for chili sauce. 👍

The most unappealing looking thing in this tray was the most delicious—the "creamy" tomato chicken. But still wondering which part was supposed to be creamy. Pretty much everything else on the tray apart from the beans and seaweed was just various levels of flavourless.

However, I was very happy that I chose this dish as the chicken slabs in some of the other sets just kept reminding me of the meat rolls I used to cut and feed my dogs for dinner with no "real" chicken texture—like pureed "chicken" compressed into slabs. But I didn't try it, so it may have tasted nice (I chose not to give it a shot after a couple of others said it tastes like cardboard). Overall, if you're looking for super healthy food and don't mind that it doesn't have much flavour, this could be perfect for you. Luckily we had salt and chilli sauce hanging around to save the day.

To give them credit, the sous vide egg was perfect and the yolk was still in tact when the lunches arrived. Plus the presentation was pretty good for delivered food. *thumbs up*

According to Miss Tam Chiak, Etna is one of the 18 restaurants in Singapore to be accredited by the Italian embassy. Read her blog on Etna for more details. Food was good and authentic, but pricey for a restaurant located in the neighborhood. We enjoyed the pastas and pizzas also.

A little French Bakery/Cafe/Restaurant located along Bukit Timah Road, right next to Coronation Plaza, Choupinette has always been in the spotlight for their highly raved-about Eggs Ben and authentic French pastries. The menu is concise, and each set comes with a juice and hot drink. Just a disclaimer though, the beautifully poached eggs covered with rich and buttery Hollandaise sitting atop the crisp baguette does not come cheap here.

A largely al-fresco space at The Foothills with rustic wooden crate-like furniture and random sofa chairs, it is comfort dining in your flip-flops and shorts. Offering brunch daily, the extensive menu includes Pancakes, Pot Pies, Thai Kampung Chicken Wings and the usual suspects. Do not leave before you try one of their lush and decadent layered cakes with exotic flavours like Spiced Apple Cake or Green Tea Praline. There is no denying you will be spoilt for choice with the wide selection available on display.

Who DOESN'T need some fried chicken in the wee hours of the morning? Thankfully, there's Kko Kko Na Ra to provide just that. Specialising in what they call 'KFC' (Korean Fried Chicken), their famous wings come in 4 flavours - original, soy garlic sauce, sweet & spicy, and hot & spicy. For a taste of everything, get their chicken combo set, which comes in original/ sweet/ garlic flavours. They only close at 3am - a great place to quell those late-night, post drinking hunger pangs.
