Fill up on their Umami Capellini (S$26) — a bold, spicy pasta dish that is balanced nicely with XO and topped with uni and caviar. Although this stall is housed in a nondescript coffeeshop along Toa Payoh Lorong 7, it sticks out like a sore thumb thanks to the snaking queue that peeks out. Chef Neo, of Les Amis fame, serves a wet style of Hokkien Mee (from $4) that sees noodles simmered in a flavorful broth with generous portions of shrimp, sotong and pork belly. Pro-tip: Come by early to avoid the crowd — it opens daily from 10am till 2pm.

Walk in, receive your number tag, get a seat then head to the counter to place your order (drink orders will be taken at your table). Come with your colleagues for the ultimate lunchtime indulgence. Share the Babi Pongteh ($6.50) which sees chunky pieces of pork, carrot and potatoes in a fermented soy bean sauce, Ayam Buah Keluak ($7.50), Chap Chye ($5) and crispy Prawn Rolls ($8 for 4 pieces).
