Their Fish Head Curry ($29.90) and Mutton Vindaloo ($18.90) will be the highlight of the meal, with succulent lamb cooked with potatoes in a tangy sauce.

Nestled amidst the lush greenery of Zhongshan Park, find this contemporary bistro bar for their modern take on the Indian cuisine. Enjoy a feast of Biryani Bowls ($12), Masala Macaroni ($12), Tandoori Chicken ($16) and Kerala Fish Curry ($18) for sharing! Other signature dishes include the Butter Chicken Pasta ($14), a fusion of creamy and tender butter chicken served with penne cooked to perfection.

Order up a feast for the family with a spread of Honey Mustard Paneer Tikka ($13.90), Prawn Vindaloo ($17.90) and Palak Paneer ($13.90). Their Chicken Tikka Masala ($17.90) was "creamy and flavourful" and Burppler Yee Jun Poon "wiped down every bit of the sauce with our na'an and wished there was more of it. The chicken was succulent and tender as well."

For casual fam dinners, this Western spot housed in Thomson Plaza is just the place to be. Take Burppler THE HUNGREE SPIKE's lead and order up the Truffle Chicken Chop ($16.90), featuring chicken grilled to tender, juicy perfection and intensely fragrant truffle sauce. If chicken ain't your thing, opt for the tender Pan Seared Pork Loin ($13.90) instead.

If you're working around Aperia Mall, hit up this casual eatery for a quick and fufilling lunch! Serving up generous amounts of quality ingredients and springy noodles, order up their signature Superior Beef Noodles ($10.90) for a comforting bowl of beef shank, beef tripe, sliced beef, beef balls, beef tendon and a choice of kway teow or thick bee hoon as a base. This eatery located at Liang Seah Street is a Modern Japanese izakaya restaurant offering savoury dishes like Salmon Mentaiko Don ($19), Unagi Tama Mentai Don ($22), and Kani Tama Don ($18), which sees fried omelette with crabmeat, ham and Japan leek. Located along buzzy Liang Seah Street, this skewer house offers over 50 types of skewers marinated Asian-inflected flavours, from teriyaki to spicy miso kimchi. Must-haves include the fiery, chilli-dusted Mid Wings, tender Yunnan Grilled Pork Neck and the smoky Grilled Oyster with Minced Garlic.

Put this Halal joint on your to-go list for hand-pulled la mian in Funan Mall. Order the Vinaigrette Ebiko Prawn Paste Noodle ($13.90), which sees bouncy ebiko prawn paste and a lava egg in a thick, tomato-based broth. For something lighter, the clear Braised Wagyu Beef Noodle ($13.90) with tender beef slices should fit the bill. Pro-tip: The la mian is on a softer side here, so request for it to be less done if you prefer your noodz chewy!

Turn to this hidden gem in Far East Plaza for value-for-money roast beef dons around town. Make a nosedive for the Roast Beef Don (from $15 for 100g), comprising melt-in-your-mouth sliced beef finished with a runny onsen egg. Well worth the splurge is also the juicy and tender Black Angus Prime Sirloin Steak Don ($29 for 200g).

For quick and easy dinners, turn to this casual eatery located in Toa Payoh Central for belly-warming Thai nosh. Fill up on the Chicken Phad Thai ($6), featuring bouncy kway teow noodles, and the tender Stir-Fried Chicken with Cashew ($9.90) that's great for sharing. Served deep-fried, the Crispy Kang Kong ($8.90) sporting a light and crisp Tempura-esque batter comes highly recommended by the community as well – dip that in the creamy and aromatic sauce that comes with it!
