✨ Chill night-out kinda vibe ✨
Absolutely love the whole mood of this cafe — it’s giving girls’ night out with drinks and good convos 💅🏻🍸

Tried their Oxtail Donut and omg it literally burst with juices when I tore it apart 🤤 The oxtail was super tender, and it legit felt like eating a savoury donut — such a fun twist! Didn’t try much this round but I’ll definitely be back for the rest of the menu 👀

For dessert, the Sticky Toffee Pudding ($12) was surprisingly airy and moist. Simply perfect with the scoop of vanilla bean ice cream! The sweet and fragrant toffee was not saccharine too and that refreshingly citrusy zest they used was the icing on the cake.

Finally back at Wildcard for more! Weekend brunch was a blast with their popular Prawn Sando ($24). The beautifully fried prawn katsu was wonderfully battered and deliciously thick - crispy, light exterior paired with a tender, supple interior. Layered between two pillowy, glossy milk buns were lettuce, crunchy celeriac remoulade and yummy tangy chilli aioli (with a nice punchy heat). So good!

Great for sharing, their flavourful Baked Paccheri ($28) was tantalising rich. The parma rosa sauce, pecorino, and pepperoni combo was a little heavy on the seasoning and it got kinda cloying towards the end but I still really enjoyed it - unapologetically cheesy, tangy and salty! The pasta was prepared very nicely as well, al dente with a satisfying soft-chewy bite and I love that it could catch a lot of the creamy sauce.

Savoury over sweet donuts any day but delivering the best of both, Wildcard’s Oxtail Donut ($12) was the perfect mid-day snack for me. Stuffed generously with luscious oxtail, the bomboloni was fluffy, light and not all that oily or cloying. The braised beef filling was really tender, well-seasoned and flavourful too. Embellished with chives and bone marrow crumbs, the donut was like an elevated (read: pricey but well worth a try) meat bun and the sweet-ish espresso bbq glaze made it even more moreish.

Can’t wait to be back to try their Prawn Sando and Sticky Toffee on my next visit.
