ミャンマーの国民食とも言われているのが、発酵した茶葉の入ったサラダで、ラペッが茶葉、トゥが混ぜることを指すそうです。

ここのラペットゥは発酵した茶葉と千切りのキャベツ、トマト、ローストしたナッツ類、干し海老、ゴマをナンプラー、油、ライムなどを混ぜて生ニンニク、生唐辛子が添えられています。

茶葉は発酵してるので漬物のようでほんのり苦味があり、全体の味としては酸っぱ辛く日本人は好きな味だと思います。
ナッツの食感もいいアクセントになっていて好き。
ただこれ単品だとかなり味が濃い！
ご飯とか麺とかに和えたら絶対美味しい。

ミャンマー料理は日本人の口に合うものが多そうです。
これはハマりそう。

店先に吊るされていた人形がどうにも気になる。。。・
