Dry Duck Noodles
✨: As a whole, I enjoyed the dish. The herbal soup, I heard, is an acquired taste. A giant duck leg which was fall-apart tender accompanied my bowl of noodles.
💬: My understanding is that the herbs and the duck make the dish very ‘windy’/inflammatory (很惹风) so it’s best to not have it too regularly. Also, that it isn’t half as good as it used to be 🤣
Though I did enjoy this meal, I won’t find myself craving for it.
The famous Bidor duck noodles is available in Kota Keumuning and Ara Damansara under the name Pun Chun Noodle House. RM7.30 (or RM8.30 for large) can get you a bowl of wantan noodles, dry or soup, with a bowl of duck drumstick soaked in a broth so rich in flavor. The best drink to have with this meal? Their wicked cup of kopi peng.
