With sauteed mushrooms and mash. They're running a discount for whole menu so it's quite worthwhile. The cutlet was large and expertly fried. Very umami fungi too. Ignore the mash.
Grilled Salmon Aglio Olio.
Simple, yet flavourful. This al dente aglio olio is good enought to be eaten on its own. The salmon is quite tender and moist.
Salted egg chicken @ $8.50
Can choose any two sides, had mine with garden salad and french fries.
It's not bad for coffee shop standard. The chicken is a bit tough but generally tastes ok. The salad had good amount of dressing and the fries are also nicely seasoned.
I ordered the black pepper char grill chicken chop along with potato salad and fries as my sides. The chicken was cooked perfectly, however the black pepper sause was abit watery and it had no peppery kick at all. The potato salad was very nice, it was cold and refreshing and the texture of it is very nice, also there were chunks of potato inside which added abit of crunch to the texture. As for the fries it was pretty normal, but it was a bit too salty for my liking. Overall just a decent experience.
$3.50 western fried rice. It was very disappointing. The fried rice tasted bland, and has a little weird sour taste to it. For the price, I can get better fried rice. Won't go back again.
Hougang outlet: Today while visiting, i'm having local coffeeshop western food @chargrillbar.sg 😊 2nd time trying, it's not bad! When you just want a quick & fuss-free meal.

Pros: Can choose your sides (the nice kinds). Substantial portions.
🌸
Cons: Based on price alone, what's there to nit-pick on? If i must, the chicken was tad bit dry. Veg not soft enough, cheese sauce (pasta) very "chemical" tasting 😂 & i won't order mushroom soup again.
