[NOVENA, SINGAPORE] Chanced upon this restaurant @bariuma_sg and I was SOOO happy to have eaten here! I absolutely love my ramen and this restaurant definitely reminded me of the ones I've had in Japan. If you like rich tonkutsu broth, this is for you.

The Ajitama Uma ($15.90) was such an enjoyable bowl. They nailed every component of the bowl of ramen definitely. The soup was very rich, full of umami and yet not too salty. You can really taste the different dimensions of flavour, from savoury pork broth, to aromatic shoyu, to the smoky garlic flavour they have managed to include in this bowl. The noodles were so chewy and satisfying too! Char siew also slapped, as it was tender, well marinated and smoky. Finally, the egg itself was also well marinated and had a good gooey consistency!

Do get their Gyoza ($7.90 for 5 pcs) as an add on. It was so satisfyingly crispy on the outside, and it's so juicy inside! Even their Kaarage ($7.90) was juicy as well. They may be expensive and if you need me to choose, their gyoza is definitely the must-get here.

The ambience is also worth mentioning as it reminded me of noodle shops in Japan. Definitely coming back when I have my ramen cravings again 👍🏻

This is certainly closer to balestier than novena! Was glad to have been recommended this ramen, with gao gao thick delicious soup! Anniversary special $10+ $2 egg + 3 gyoza and green tea set. I couldn’t take most of the chashu cos I don’t take fatty meat but what I could eat was delicious! The gyoza was also pretty amazing, one of the few times when fried gyoza surprised me by being tender and soft! And what a pretty ceramic cup! Really wonder what these flecks are… is it collagen? Someone enlighten me!
